Any support document need for PBB to open a basic SA?
Plan to open a basic saving account with debit card to support ewallet.

My friend went to open, they wanted IC or utility bills to prove he's staying near that branch. Alternatively, the branch nearest to your office is also possible, along with supporting doc that you work there.

Bring along just in case. Maybe different branch different SOP.

Just sharing,
For utc kuching, sarawak, pay bills especially assessment bills in sarawak,
(see photo) Accept payment method by credit card, debit card (Mastercard and visa) and also sarawak pay.

For passport payment, they stricly only accept payment by cash. That was sad for me (no cashback rm10). laugh.gif

Anyone tried? What is the merchant's name in credit/debit card slip?
Hopefully it is not Payment Galaxy or SiliconNet Tech, which don't use any of Government MCC.

Ok then I go to pay quit rent this week, instead of using PaybillsMalaysia or kiosk (SiliconNet Tech-EC, no longer under Govt).

Last time, 1 counter from State Treasury (Cukai Tanah), 2 counters from Lembaga Air Kuching, a few counters from SESCo and a few counters to handle MBKS/DBKU/MPP transactions.
If everything is centralised under a Govt agency (with Govt MCC), I am thinking if it is possible to pay 10X RM30 SESCO account. brows.gif

Wow, master ClarenceT really have many lubang.laugh.gif If its under government mcc then is good news to all. Still have time till end of september. Need someone to test water first. tongue.gif

I focus too much on card terminal at the counter desk and didn't notice if all counter have same service (all category).

All,forget to check the operation hour of the service sarawak centre. Not sure if different category have different operational hour or not.

Yeah, and also my address on my NRIC is just at the opposite road of PBB in my hometown, so I guess no issue to be approved instantly.

PB DEBIT - Government transactions

CB Just credited this morning. Surprisingly transactions on 17/5/19 and 26/5/19 still not late to win RM10 CB, though a lot of people might pay Income tax before 15/5/19.

Any debit cards with good rewards to recommend?

I missed the time when debit cards offered cashback for spending. Now the cashback is gone for local spending, and even the rewards are getting increasingly crappy.

The last debit card I used was issued by AffinBank. Last year, I managed to redeem a RM50 voucher with only 13k points. Now the cost for the same voucher has skyrocketed to over 30k points, which is almost triple the original amount.

Wondering if any other banks offer better rewards for debit card usage.

Wait for public bank's next promo. The one ending this month is 50% cash back, min transaction $30 using paywave. Not sure cash pool allocation still available or not if you apply now.

There's also cash back for govt transactions until Sept.
