I just wish to share some info with you about the usage of Public Bank Day2Day card.

I just called Public Bank card department's customer service, and while I ask some questions related to my card, at the same time I also asked the customer service staff whether this card can be used for telephone order (transaction over telephone) or not, and the response is "should be no problem".

According to the Public Bank customer service staff, if I use the Day2Day Visa card to pay for my purchases at retail shop, even though the signature on transaction slip need to be the same as the signature on the card, but the signature on the card can be different with the signature I gave on the account opening form which submitted when I open a bank account. Is it true?

You must ensure that you have sufficient fund in the debit card. Each swipe at petrol station will hold RM 200 regardless of whatever amount you pumped (any amount <= RM 200).

Technically anyone can use anyone's card/debit card as long as it is not PIN-protected

ok, here's the thing.

im planning to apply for a debit card, but i would like to ask whether the public bank D2D debit card is able to be used for flight ticket purchases. And if it does, how does it go? charge it like any normal Visa credit card? or through something like maybank2u thingie?

did browse through some pages in V2 but really got my eyes tired, sorry if this question was asked before, and thanks for anyone who has some answers notworthy.gif

Can use to purchase flight ticket, no problem. eg if you're using Malaysia Airlines, at the payment section after you fill in all your card details, you will prompt to PBB payment page where you enter your pin etc. Quite user friendly from what i've experienced.
