Debit cards make it impossible for you to overspend. You never pay interest because you never borrow. For those with bad self control or who find keeping track of bills a hassle, debit cards are worth it.

Put it this way, what's the point of earning 5% cashback on some portion of your expenses if you're paying 18% on ALL of them from late payment fees of CC?
*
Not 100% accurate. Debit card can be linked to a Current account with Overdraft facility or a flexi-loan. You will pay additional OD/Loan interest but it is cheaper than CC interest.

Citibank Malaysia had a personal loan account that the borrower used Debit card to withdraw cash and perform retail transactions, worked similarly to a credit card.

18X total RM500 doesn't mean you are sure to get it or 10% CB.
The key is T&C (6) which make effective CB% to less than 10%.
No risk no return. High risk high return.
I won't share how much I paid and how many transactions I performed and where I spent to win the prize. devil.gif

Thanks...but got charges for paying with CC? If using debit card should select the FPX?
*
+0.8% surcharge (Credit/Debit card) at LHDN's online site.
If I am not wrong, +RM0.50 (Debit card only, +0.8% for credit cards) surcharge only at LHDN's payment counters.

You can't use Debit card to FPX/Jompay because Debit card is NOT a bank account (Credit card is a bank account).

Only first 1000 users fulfill RM150 spendings will win. You may be too late for this month. There will be another game next month, no longer RM150 spendings to win RM50 CB. Good luck.

Middle of the month. But didn’t assume government transaction cash back will be snapped up so fast.

A rush to pay Cukai Pintu in Feb.
This game too simple, just spend RM150 to get RM50. Normally minimum RM30 to get RM10 which is more complicated. Should come again in April. (PBUY - 1/4/2020)

Pay extra @ 99/2019 first, then submit BE, LHDN discover you overpaid then they will refund you. Hehe, at your own risk.

*
Doesn't matter if you are sure of the final tax amount payable to LHDN, must settle before 30/6/2020.
As I have tax overpaid for TT2019, I can't overpay after submitting Form BE because LHDN is working on the refund.

Not so fast! May take a few weeks to update for monthly PCB, not sure on BE 99/**.
