What do you want to convey through this topic ? I don't get you sad.gif

Btw, in this case, money doesn't work at all time. Those people will be kicked in their a** if they apply for prestige schools lol.

why would they want to 'apply for prestige school'?.....there are so many other places they can go to just with some money.....open any newspaper everyday, and you can see adverts on how cheap and easy it is to get an mbbs....

wow, this is serious man..hope that they don't get to apply as doctors here..

but i know that sometimes they just take the degree for bragging rights...when they're back they will open some business etc...
*
of course they will return and work as doctors....

does it make you feel any better if it is a science student with c's and d's in spm?........

i have said many times, there are 2 to 3 outstanding licences already issued before the moratorium to freeze.....this is one of them.....smile.gif

wonder who are going to teach the clinicals in the east coast of sabah....

it has the distinction of being the smallest 'university' with a medical programme....and not a single medically qualified doctor on staff, as listed in the website.... tongue.gif

wonderful..... rclxms.gif we have reached new lows....

I wonder how many more colleges or universities have been given licences to operate but yet to commence operations.

Quite a number of these licences will be put up for sale in the very near future in the name of consolidation.
*
it is a repeat of what happened to the commercial banks....and the telcos...before....issue lots of licences, earnest money collected, and then consolidate....

we only need 15 med schools.....so there is going to be some serious downsizing needed later.....with a lot of very unhappy parents making a lot of political noises....

Many years back, the gomen issued quite a lot of tax practitioners licence to one ethnic group to balance up the racial quota after only 6 months training. The end result was that after one year, less than 5% were still practicing and even then these were "loaned" out to other practitioners who were unable to get such licence.

Lets say for medical graduates, after housemanship, the gomen no longer provides auto employment for these graduates and they are "released" to fend for themselves in the business world. Surely, those who are no good will find difficulties surviving. Would such a scenario gives would-be medical students serious thoughts before signing up?

it has happened to a small degree before....

it is increasing now.....

and will be a major option in future.....

doctors are moving away from mainstream clinical medicine into other areas of the large healthcare industry....nutrition, direct sales, slimming, detox, aesthetics medicine, alternative medicine, anti-aging, cancer prevention practices......etc....

if you scoff at this alternative industry.....don't....

the health product industry is bigger (about 1.3 times) the mainstream pharmaceutical industry.... smile.gif
