Argh.. wanted to get the plat for demon's souls before dark souls,
dunno whether got time ... even with the duplicate trick!!

Ya checked out Book Depository website, total would be RM50 only (hardback!)and the cover looks sweet!

But I wonder how long it will take to arrive.
Anyway will get this since only got the normal R3 edition of the game.. got extra cash to burn..

Ok started playin only yesterday night.... my God...
this is harder than demon's souls imo.... and was so nerve wrecking....and I need some advice about two enemies

there is one place with winding stairs ...

(SPOILER)
going up and down, and I used the master key to go downstairs and this bad-ass armour guy is waiting, with a big shield and some crazy weapon.. started chasing me, had to run, then at some point try to sidestep him to backstab (only after many tries coz he's so fast!) and all I get is like 23pts damage..damn!
hardly damaged him

So I ran up, many flight of stairs...and the guy is still chasing behind..and then I saw the white fog and pass through, and looked behind, saw the guy! but luckily he's stuck, can't pass through

But my relief was shortlived...
coz a few steps forward, I met the big ass Taurus boss.. and dunno what strat to use.. coz the path is narrow, rolled pass his first attack, but on the second attack - 1 hit kill.... so demoralising.

Guys, I think a lot of you have passed this stage of the game! pls,any tips to beat these two foes!

Easiest way to kill him is without hitting him!

I assume you have finished off the armoured boar, and have killed the other skellies..
then there is two spots with fire... lure the black knight to the one on the left (furthest from the entrance) and hide behind the fire... keep your shield up just in case... he will keep 'bumping ' into the flame as he attacks... but you have to keep sidestepping to make sure the flame is between you and the knight...

That's it! I learnt this from one of the youtube vids.

I think of all the games so far.. this is the game that is worth every ringgit.. 20 plus hours in, probably only a quarter of the game through. And it's really satisfying! i think even more so than demon's souls

Anyway I need some clarifications.
Current status:
1. Now at darkroot forest. Beaten hydra and gold golemn, to release dusk, summoned her (wiki says i need to be in human form to summon her, but i wasn't in human form when i learnt some spells from her..and the 'tree branch' thingy i got from her is pretty powerful)
Have also beaten the 3 rolling cats..
now looking to beat the wolf...
but keep dying even though doing my best to be under it... coz the sweeping slash always one hit me... anyway my prob is... have to take quite a long distance to reach this boss eveytime i die, coz still don't have enough souls (20,000!) to buy the crest to unlock the door for easier access from the bonfire in the garden.. so now keep restarting at the bonfire above the blacksmith , have to walk so far, and climb ladder at the waterfall...then die... sien

My question is, should i attempt this boss later? when i'm stronger with more souls ( to buy the crest thing ) or do I go to my next target area first - the depths.. (but to prepare for this, going back to asylum to exchange my crack eye thing for some purging tablets from snuggly the crow, seems like this is the 'cheapest' option)

What you guys think?

Thanks guys for your feedback. i do know about that hidden bonfire... but the prob is even if i use that, the distance is about the same if i use the bonfire above the blacksmith...
whatmore my blacksmith bonfire has been kindled (10 estus vs my hidden 1 only 5) so.. but thanks GailExoduSx for the Sif wolf tip, will try it out..and will prob invest in the crest thing too.. Thanks again
