Yeap there's a boss in that cave. After the boss there's a hidden door somewhere with an npc blocking the path, the Chaos Covenant is here next to the bonfire.

fought gargoyles. rang the bell, i know im supposed to find the sewers next. but icant find it anywhere. then dunno where to go, so went to the blacksmith and found a bonfire there. just below the stairs is the titanite demon. i fought it and got some titanite, no other special loots. SIGH.

continue on into the darkroot garden. stumble across some gravity spell casting giant knights. no match to them so i went another way, into the darkroot basin. found a cave with a bonfire in the middle, so i lit it. continue forward and found a lift that carries me down, into the Valley of Drakes. damn drakes....SIGH

there were 4-5 drakes guarding a bridge, so, i decline to march forward. instead i found a small path along the mountain side to my left. so i traveled it and found another drake guarding that path in the middle. i just rushed past it and got away with it... but very soon after i met the Zombie Dragon.... and yes, my greediness woke him up.... luckily i can choose not to fight him and run past him, so i did. of course, he one hit killed me a couple of times there, SIGH.

found another cave on my left, headed in and im in Blight Town. im like wtf? aint i suppose to come here after the sewers? but anyway, i fought my way in. i knew at this point im playing the level in reverse. cos most of the enemies are just facing away from me.

and i just cant find a bonfire in there so everytime i died, i started back at the cave in the darkroot basin. and had to repeat all of the above to get back into blight town.... i lost numerous souls there... about 30k ish..... SIGH.

finally, i found a bonfire at the swamp level of blight town, and lit it... thank the sun god for that. i explored the whole area and found a passage into Queelags Domain.... murdered a guy with eggs and larvas hatched out to attack me..... i cowardly ran back to the way i came in..... i know its not the way to go yet...lol.... SIGH

explore some more, and finally came to a point where it's a dead end... the main gate that connects blight town to the sewers.... and the gate is locked.... SIGH.... had to back track all the way back.

Blight Town > Valley of Drakes > Darkroot Basin > Darkroot Garden > Undead Parish> Firelink Shrine

oh yeah, on my way back, i found a path in basin that leads to a HUGE Chimera demon... immediately run away without hesitation.

and when i finally reach FS, i learnt that the fire keeper has been murdered.... SIGH.

decided to go back to asylum and take on the stray demon. took me an hour plus to finally have a successful attempt in killing it.... i think i died here around 30+ times the least. got some upgrade materials, no other special loots... SIGH.

looked at the clock, 6 am. call it a day.

from firelink shrine, go to the lift where it carries u up to the undead church. take the one on the LEFT. just as soon it moves up, march forward against the wall and u will drop onto a higher ground in FS. walk out towards the right on a mountain side. here u need to jump onto a beam at the FS ruins. JUST JUMP. follow the narrow path carefully and walk up the spiral steps, u will find a crow nest there.... u can curl up into a ball there, WAIT. after 30 seconds or so, the crow will carry u back to the asylum....

Go back to where you fought the Taurus Demon, cross the bridge then down the stairs, right in front of you will be a locked door (Basement Key to unlock). To the left will be the Red Dragon. To the right will be where Soltaire was. There you will fight the Assassins and Zombie Dogs
