Hi all
Sebab tak cukup budget, I am thinking if it is possible at all to convert :-

1) existing door grill (sliding type) to those push out type? Like take away the sliding frame, instal new frame, remove the sliding gadget on the panel and pasang the connection to hook the panel to the frame? Something like that i think? So it become a push out type grill door.

2) pasang like 1''x2' glass to existing plush door. Maybe potong the measurement on the door and fix with glass. Possible or not?

Terima kasih.

Mostly, everything is possible. It just boils down to cost.
It may cost more to modify something to suit another purpose.
There will me more work to cut the grille (sliding) to suit the size of the swing grill door. Both dimensions are different.
As for cutting the existing plywood flush door to insert a glass, it will involve the removal of the plywood which will be damaged.

Basically, all will be cheaper if you get then new, to your specifications. Looks better as well.

I believe you are referring to your bathroom door frame. If the damage is less than 6" from the floor, then can repair using cement sand. This will also depend on your expectation.

nod.gif bathroom door frame. 6" is about 15cm I guess. If yes, how to repair? I am just curious and wish to know how to do it eventhough I may not be doing it myself. At least, won't kena potong by contractor. About expectation........ hmm.gif what do you mean? Outcome teruk sangat ke?

This method has been used in the construction more than 30 years ago. They basically protect the timber frame from damaged due to water. This practice is not use in construction nowadays.
The outcome is OK if done nicely. Once painted, will not be noticeable.
PMed you the method biggrin.gif

Bro, if is alumimum frame and original from developer, than forget about it as it will be given problem once it been remove and fixed to another location. This happen to my window frame and now I have to thinking of way to get it fix.
Ofcause the best option is remove and get a new once but it will involved all hacking / re-paint work...

Bro, my current frame is wooden. Was told 2 way to do 1) replace window including frame, 2) just replace the window if wooden frame still good condition, then keep the frame. Then there a a lot of different types aluminium, different quality. Some kena air will turn black, different color etc. etc. All different price blink.gif When I ask how many types, tak boleh jawab. rclxub.gif So, I don't know.

But why you change your frame and fix to another location? What problem is it giving you? (no harm learning something new right? biggrin.gif )
