Hello guys, in recent floods in my hometown, Kelantan. It came across my mind to do a reseach on solar power.

I would like to start a basic solar charging kit. Mainly to charge my gadgets for a start. I have no time to roam around pasar road yet, but i found a DIY kit in http://www.scomart.com/10W-Solar-Power-Cha...it-10WDIYCK.htm .

Hows the price? Is it reasonable? Or shall i pay a visit to Pasar Road first? Or shall i go for the 7w 5v portable ones?

You need to tell the spec also. Like

Solar panel output in what voltage. 12v or 5v. Powerbank input what voltage to charge. 12v or 5v. How long it take to charge full.

24W for rm499...convenient but price per watt ...errr

Get your electrical engineer fren explain to you; w,kw, kwh, volt.......otherwise banyak susah lah

What you want it for?

It only have 70w inverter capacity. Mean you only can connect thing output not more than 70w. But it don't come with a battery. It is optional and plug in.

If you mean for power a aircon, yes. It is useless. Even you use 20set of this, it still can't run a aircon.

Forget it if use solar to power a aircon. It cost you a bom.

Let say a 1hp aircon (750w) to run on solar. You need

1) 2kw of panel. If 1panel is 100w, you need 20panel.
2) 1150Ahr of battery to run on night time. (8hr runtime) If the battery is 100Ahr capacity, You need 12set.
3) 1.5kw-2kw of inverter to convert to 230V.

Prepare at least RM30k for this setup. That enough to turn you off?
