Guys, need opinion.

I am putting >200 sqft of awning in upstairs front porch.
Mainly to block off sunlight n cool down masterbedroom.

I reckon there will be 4 - 5 hours of sunlight.

If I lay solar panel on top n link to some batteries, batteries can store outside alongside aircond compressors.

1.can generate enuf juice to power say a dozen led light at nite n a couple of fish pond pumps 24 hrs?

2. Estimated cost? Not planning to fit or nem, too complicated. Mote of joining the green cult.

3. Can diy without getting myself fried?

4. Safe or not? Can burn down house or invite lightning ?

The cost is too high.....

Thinking of buying china cheap, already assembled units now.
Less fun, but easier on the pocket.
