My latency without this problem is at 200+ms home 400+ms world, which i am totally happy about it. But now my latency are always 400+ms home 1.2K-1.4k World. my character would spike for 3-4sec every 10sec.
I called streamyx(100) customer service for more than 10 times and also forced them to level my problem to higher ups. Unfortunately all they can reply(even the manager) is their services have no interruption and it is not their fault that i am lagging.
I found out that doomhammer's data center is located in New York while dreadmaul is located at Los Angelas. While i am only lagging while i am playing in most server located in New York, i suspect something went wrong along the way from where i am located to New York.
I also posted my problem in technical support in WOW"s forum and so far they cannot pin point the problem due to (once again) streamyx had blocked traceroute option.
Anyway, i tried all all their other options like deleting Cache,WTF and Interface folder and run 'repair' option. Disable my Anti-virus. flush my DNS, use a free DNS, all and all my problem persisted.
I however do not have any problem playing other games like Heroes of Newerth and my download speed doesn't seems to be affected as well.Right now i am running out of options.
1. Ping TM's DNS, if you are getting latency <30, which mean your line is theoretically OK. In other word, TM has already fulfilled their SLA, dont bother to call them.
2. Sign up any tunneling service that provide free trial. Load em up and see if your latency to WoW improve.
I used to raid without tunneling but since the earlier some undersea cables got bitten by some sharks/alien/whatever sea monster the latency to US has went downhill, not the same as it used to be. Tunneling is your best friend to WoW now.
