I just picked it up at the post office. First of all, I've read about how small this thing is, but holding & looking at the E10 makes it looks like a miniature of the real thing, thanks to the pictures of E10.
I expected it to be about the size of an IC card, but it's even smaller. Build quality is great. The metal casing that comes w/ it should come in handy, especially to carry the E10 around. Regarding the sound, all this "lack-of-equipment-and-lazy-to-do-extensive-AB-tests" guy have to say is it's clearer i.e. more transparent/less congested than my Realtek ALC665 and SB Play! Thanks to being more transparent, sound stage is better, and reverb effect is more noticeable. Bass is less boomy and... that's all my laziness can catch right now. Also, those new to audiophiles (me included), an improvement in transparency really makes a difference. Imagine all sorts of sounds i.e. guitar, vocal, drums and all other sounds like it's coming from one place. Hard to differentiate the sounds from each instruments when it's like that right? As it's less congested i.e. more transparent, you'll hear more. That's fun right? p/s: Thanks for the pre-order bro E1. |
