If you do decide to visit one of the nearby Island near KK (Tunku Abdul Rahman Park), do not go to Manukan Island. It is a tourist trap. The corals are dead and overcrowded at times, unless you plan to do one of the many water sport activity such as Banana boat ride or Parasailing,

Instead, do visit Memutik Island, its small, far less crowded and have a real living fauna in the sea. We actually speared some coral prawn and boil it on the beach (Highly illegal, but just to let you know how it is different from Manukan)

ya, its a pity i can only go there for two days, because i need to attend a wedding, so a lot of time is wasted there also.
