I have this unsightly pipe (refer to attached pic) at my kitchen.
I will have kitchen cabinet but the top unit will not reach the ceiling.
Any idea what I can do to hide the pipe?

You can just ask your contractor to box it up.

Yes, but what type of material should they use?
They can cover using wood but I also want it to be able to open up easily to check on water leaks.
I am not sure if it is ok to do a box using material used in making plaster ceiling?
Is plaster ceiling material more expensive than wood?

If you plan to do kitchen cabinet, than can ask them to hide it with flexi type door.
If you use plaster ceiling, than get a 1feet mainhole cover.

you can add a skirting from top of cabinet to ceiling

Any idea how much the above will cost?

Thank you for all suggestions.

See attached pic for the height of the kitchen cabinet.
The idea of putting some decorations above the cabinet to block the pipe is a good and inexpensive idea smile.gif

Building a cabinet up to the ceiling will help to cover it but how often will you use the topmost cabinet since it is located so high up?
My ceiling almost 10ft and I do not find it practical.

Example: Normally the hight are from 5-7feets, top additional 1-2 feets and rest covert with hood where same colour like the cabinet...
This is one of the suggestion I getting from the KC sifu...
It will make better view instead of a blank wood from 7 to 10 feets sad.gif

Yea, thanks for the idea but since the pipe is not very long, I will just hang some decorations
to make it less obvious. Not covering it also make it easier to spot for water leaks. nod.gif
