Does anyone know where can i get samsung digital door lock (or any other brand) in Malaysia (or in Sarawak). Who are the distributors ?
Other than digital door lock, any other choices of lock that are also efficient and effective with good pricing ?
Currently looking for main door lock and side door locks, hope sifus here can help

problem with this digital door lock is that.. it doesn't give me a solid feel... It looks cool though..

Well, for better security is best to put another lock. Like for double leaf door is advice to get the "Tiger lock", this lock is not cheap. With two way key hole (can lock inside) is around RM 700+- for a good quality. Every additional key cost RM 40+-.

Yes, if you have free logistic is better. Ebay maybe cheaper, but if just 10% more buying locally in Korean why not. Because you save the hassle of custom if get stop. Need to pay some small fees (you know what i mean)

OK. do provide the feedback after you got it. but i believe the word like 'lock/unlock' should be in korea work rite?
I checked they did provide english user manual in pdf.

Samsung 5120,

Just brought the rebate for double leaf door. Hopping to get it this week before ordering the digital lock.

I still have some doubt. Because the 5120 door is for 40mm - 60mm, but my door is 38mm thick. So is really a gamble.

You install on a double leaf door or single door? For double leaf door need some special bracket right? BTW, how much did he charge you for installation?

installation rm250 for single leaf door,i bot from the penang seller, the singapore one contact didn't record down but u can find him by GOOGLE

the lelong seller recommend is around 150 for installation charge for model without handle. and he say can easy DIY as well.

Install on new door. It won't be direct fit for normal round door handle.

i try..diy, end up the lock not function, so no choice call the pro and got parang rm250....

the installer said he is the sub con of the puchong shop, so the shop sure need to earn some commission right, any way i got his direct contact now....

Oh, I think most door installer should know. Cause i saw is similar to the "Ho Pau Soh" Wallet lock.

Did you use 4 batteries or 8 batteries?

8 batteries, normal timber door/ lock installer don't dare to touch it, the mortise is much smaller than those normal "Ho Pau Soh" .

Oh, maybe I wait till the installer put in the door, align the door already and if he don't dare to touch it. I'll contact you again.

Yes i did ask normal locksmith, they not dare to touch it.

if we are not buying locally, are we going to install it ourself ?

can diy, need tools like elec drill, chisel & ........
i tried diy but the latch won't come out when the door closed, end up paid rm250

oh i see.....lol those prices are so high apuh...gonna use Merbau wood (dono how thick but thicker than standard) as it is custom made by relatives..What happen if batteries dried up lol

can connect external 9v battery to open the door, my shs dl-22 got spare key for emergency too

Finally got my Samsung 5120 from ebay. Seller is from Korean. Place order on Monday, got it today (Friday). Will snap some photos later.

Apparently this seller is from Johor.

Done my double leaf door install with Samsung 5120. Is not an easy task because this lock is not design for Malaysia standard door (BEst install on door with 40mm thickness or above), it need some mod on some bracket for the striker, and because i am using double leaf door a rebate is required. But I can't use the rebate i brought online because is for thicker door (40mm and above). Got to made one from wood. If you door are 35mm, don't install is too thin.

Is actually not really hard to install if you know bit of electronic skill and with a good door installer guru. The Guru only need to open up the Mortise hole, and the striker holes. If you don't have rebate for double leaf door, not to worry can use wood, it don't look pretty but it does good job, just need to stick a thin metal plate to cover up the expose mortise.


The unit i got is a newer improved version. Hmm, maybe is good to buy direct from Korea since they have the latest, and here how you identify between the older and newer version.

one of my client just bot their "Strong777", with promotion cost 1k include installation.

the "Smart Touch" is actually Samsung SHS-DL22, which cost +-rm2200 include installation.

Program the new pin, new RFID card or RFID key tag loh. The English manual useless cause i got the updated design version. Got to figure out myself.

Not sure about the other, I use this because this is the only handle lock for my main door, with conventional jimmy lock.

I think this model is EOL already. Saw this in ebay last year but not now.
