the difference is in the build quality particularly at the outside edge of the 2 piece being connected, it should fit nicely.. another point would be the inner side where there is a jutting out part over the windscreen.. if it curves too much away from the windscreen its not oem.. oem ones follow the curve of the windscreen nicely..

I was just cruising at 80kmh approaching my exit when it happened..
Immediately slowed down and stop..
The racket when the gbox kissed the road was like i was driving on jagged steel rims (minus the tires).. shocking.gif

yup mounting screw snapped.. doh.gif

driveshaft snapped too.. rclxub.gif

coil also broke but what coil my mechanic referring to i am not sure
gearbox fluids empty, fingers crossed its not because of a crack anywhere on the gbox
some part of the airbox broke off..
towing kena rm180 from putrajaya to shah alam batu 3 which i find ok since the first time my neo got towed from putrajaya to equine park it cost rm200! (triple the distance if compared)

best of all i bought this neo 2nd hand and the mileage its already done 66k km..
first batch neo too, manufactured in 2006.. so i guess no warranty cover and all fixes will be sendirian berhad.. rclxub.gif

i am fed up of smelling gas fumes everytime after i fill my neo with petrol.. is this issue still prevalent in all neo batches or is it fixed in the the later batches? (FYI i'm driving 1 of the 1st batch neo) anyway to get rid of the gas smell? change fuel pump?

thoughts appreciated.. notworthy.gif

Just service my car today. And I also ask him about the smell each time I fill up petrol. The guys say is normal for all Neo because the petrol tank is right under the back seat.

As what KC say, the smell occur once in a while.
But his happen only for the first 3 to 4 mths. After that, small case as yr.

May be will try on what KC say, try no to fill it full tank. May be for 30 liter.

Hehehe. If any Neo driver solve this problem pls let us know. Hehehe.

i always filled up less then rm90 when my oil light lights up.. using ron97 so i usually leave the petrol station 3/4 tank full.. it still smells and i have to wind down the window for 5 mins to clear the gas smell.. if i fill up full, it will stink longer! doh.gif

btw was at rs dyno today.. brought a friend to change his management from ems to unichip..
got a 10hp and 20nm gain... but the cam adjustment was all wrong when using works according to robyn.. plus the works tuner tuned without a dyno machine.. shakehead.gif

Woh. You use ron97. Salut wallet.
Today i was asking the sc guy about my fc as u know. Damn high. This full tank I drive with more aggressive. And u know what. I haven't reach 100 km, my tank is already half tank.
Like madman20 say when u drive Neo, u don't expect good fc.
They as me to try ron97. So I will try ron97 next tank and see whether it give me better mileage then ron95.

Reef_d. What ron97 u using?
*
shell.. u should try several brands u find the one that suits you.. for my waja i prefer mobil f1 ron97 after testing a few brands.. for neo, shell is more suitable..

AFAIK on the road tuning also can lah. No need dyno tune machine. Just plug the wideband lc-1 or whatevr, then drive but dangerous. Robyn also sell Works EMS Pro Neo. I think the problem lies with the tuner not the product. Y didn't u retune ur friend EMS at robyn?

the guy got lots of money.. he got a good deal.. 2nd hand unichip Q+ for rm800.. so wanted try unichip pulak.. tongue.gif
btw.. he wants to sell his 1 month old ems pro neo for rm900.. bought it 1.2k a month ago.. any1 intrested pls pm me.. smile.gif
also robyn tunes ems for rm300++ fyi..
