Hi Sifu, I'm newbie to Mikrotik, I've some questions to ask and seek for some advice: 1) what's the benefit to replace Mikrotik as main router to my existing Asus wireless router? Well, some too advanced setting I may don't know. 2) I plan to setup 2~3 PoE access point, should I continue use my Asus as main router (disable all WiFi) or use Mikrotik will be better? I never use standalone router, so need some advice before setup This post has been edited by sam240: Sep 12 2025, 04:25 PM

QUOTE(cyberic @ Sep 12 2025, 09:10 PM) You will struggle if not familiar with Mikrotik and networking. I'm a noob too, google on how-to and configured my Mikrotik + Ubiquiti AP. Then basically can forget about it except updating the software. I like the convenience of POE which lead me to this path. Well, I just know some basic networking and some setting. Well, without Mikrotik, so actually I still can stick with Asus set as DHCP connect to PoE AP and use. Just wondering if Microtek can work better in term of performance example torrenting + others benefit, then I may consider it
