Hi,

Anyone can assist me to setup a PPTP server on my mikrotik?
RB750GL.

I've configured exactly like this guide.
http://wispwatchers.com/index.php/how-tos/...rotik-vpn-setup

Problem is, I'm unable to connect to that VPN when I'm using Internet.
But IF I'm attached to my internal network, then dial the PPTP VPN, it connects.

I suspect there is some firewall thing that I need to configure.
However, I have tried to disable all of the firewall rules and retry, but still unable to connect to the VPN.

What is your purpose of your PPTP service?
You want to connect to your server at home? Or you want connect between 2 networks.

I have done a Tunnel using L2TP between 2 networks. No problems.
But it is transparent, meaning everything done at router level.

I will find sometime and try the PPTP service that you posted.

I'm ok with any type of vpn.
As long as its can enable me to connect to my home network.

Of you refer to my earlier post.
I've followed exactly the guide says.
If I try to connect to the pptp via my own network.
It successful, can register ip. But it seems does not sense.

If I use my laptop. Connected to digi broadband. Then try to connect to the pptp. It can't.

Hi guys...
Anyone here very pro with QoS with mikrotik router?

I followed klseet's instructions.

http://klseet.com/index.php/mikrotik/mikro...rotik-rb750-qos

1. When I play youtube the data transfer will go to highest priority of the queue.
2. When I torrent, the data transfer will go to lowest queue.

Test 1
Downloading ISO files, highest queue.
Start torrent, lowest queue.
Highest queue still have the priority, klseet's guide set it that way.

Test 2
Youtube streaming, highest queue.
Start torrent, lowest queue.
Highest queue been taken over by the lowest queue.

Anyone can help me with this QoS issue? sad.gif

I see the klseet has very good detail in the explanation.... what don't you understand?

You should be able to copy his work, and get it running....

What is the problem with your setup?

Though that the packet tagging already categorize my youtube (port 80) to highest priority
and
My torrent packet tagging to the lowest priority.

BUT when i run BOTH simultaneously, the torrent downloads still take over the youtube streaming (port 80)
