Added on March 17, 2012, 1:51 pmBeen away for a few days, my RB751U-2HnD hasn't rebooted. Uptime now 10days but TX drop has increased to 156000. I think last I posted here was about 22000.

Friend's RB751U, still going well, no TX drops, uptime 17days already.

I think I'm going to backup his config and restore onto mine and just change the username/password for unifi and test from there.

I am about to buy this in replacement of my N16.
Reading the past 15 pages I notice that this router is not at all stable and has issues.
Please enlighten me if this is sorted out? or is this router just a geek plaything?

I am looking at either Mikrotik RB750 where I will use the Asus N16 as AP or the RB751U-2HnD

A question - why you don't put the ADSL router at ether-gateway interface? You are lucky that the ADSL router and vlan1 is in the same broadcast domain, else User A will not be able to connect to the Internet.

My 751u been running for 10.5 days, so far no transmission error.. Look like the old firmware is better.

Hi. I've just bought RB751G-2HnD and configured it according to klseet.com for Unifi. Need some tweaking to make it work as I'm totally noob on MikroTik and it is of different model from RB750 example. Problem is I did not know what I did to make the WiFi working, spent half a day toying with just the WiFi setup. I change protocol from default nv2 nstreme 802.11 to just 802.11 to finally get my laptop able to see the SSID but still not able to get an address from DHCP. I click a few thing and voila, my laptop got the IP. Hope someone can help me or point me to right direction to understand actual setup or configuration to make the WiFi work in case it stop working in future, I'll know what to check. I googled a lot on this but did not find anything helpful. Thanks.

Thanks for the pointer. Still could not understand why my laptop and android phone not able to see my SSID when wireless protocol set to default nv2 nstreme 802.11. It will work only when set to 802.11. Any explanation on this part? Thanks.

I want to find out if I can just add vlan.500-trunk to bridge-local or need to create a new bridge (LAN) to connect vlan.500-trunk to ether2-master.

I have Mikrotik connected to the BTU and I'm able to make the connection so Internet is fine. Now I need to configure a LAN port with VLAN 621 + 822 in order to have VOIP and then plug Thomson router on that LAN port. Is my understanding correct?
