Sometime problem may not be equipment. Could it be other reason? I read somewhere the input power can be problem too. Perhaps change another adapter.
*
that power problem is for the initial batch back in oct 2011, i think all the current batch dont have that problem..

but then @soonwai , bought 2 units of 751u and 1 have problem the other dont have problem even though both have been upgraded to 5.14 ..

so in the end apa cerita for 751u ? lol

i didnt bother to test it wasting time.. to troubleshoot.... since i know its confirm a bug issue...

only thing i didnt do was test it at the default 5.06 that comes with it...

@soonwai , yeah changed 1 time thought it was faulty.. then same problem then confirm not hardware issue..

Is the 250GS is able to achieve this or I need to use the 750GL?
*
250gs is just a smart switch..but its not smart for routing..

get a 750gl that is a real router that can do what u require..

configuration wise.. get from landasan(KL) and ask them for installation services..

or buy and install and configure your own..make sure u have 101 in networking else its a real b****

Added on March 17, 2012, 1:51 pmBeen away for a few days, my RB751U-2HnD hasn't rebooted. Uptime now 10days but TX drop has increased to 156000. I think last I posted here was about 22000.

Friend's RB751U, still going well, no TX drops, uptime 17days already.

I think I'm going to backup his config and restore onto mine and just change the username/password for unifi and test from there.
*
please do update us ya smile.gif , curious if that will fix the problem or not.. lol...

Put output of '/interface vlan print' here.

A question - why you don't put the ADSL router at ether-gateway interface? You are lucky that the ADSL router and vlan1 is in the same broadcast domain, else User A will not be able to connect to the Internet.
*
routing ? issue ? or just need to configure firewall for access ?

the src net for the other vlan domain ?

Using Unifi setup over here. I've successfully done so without any problem.

Any idea how to setup Guest Wi-Fi network? The guest network shall not have access to my LAN network.

Thank you sir but I have no idea where to start, lol. I suppose the WLAN is already a separate interface for now (default configuration) so I basically need to create an IP address range and assign it to this interface then a queue to throttle it?
*
i think he ment was create a virtual wlan interface.. then create a dhcp for this new virtual interface

and configure the queue for that dhcp/virtual interface

this is for two ssid la.. for single ssid

just create a queue for the interface itself but then you yourself will kena throttled la..

unless you using wired

Hi. I've just bought RB751G-2HnD and configured it according to klseet.com for Unifi. Need some tweaking to make it work as I'm totally noob on MikroTik and it is of different model from RB750 example. Problem is I did not know what I did to make the WiFi working, spent half a day toying with just the WiFi setup. I change protocol from default nv2 nstreme 802.11 to just 802.11 to finally get my laptop able to see the SSID but still not able to get an address from DHCP. I click a few thing and voila, my laptop got the IP. Hope someone can help me or point me to right direction to understand actual setup or configuration to make the WiFi work in case it stop working in future, I'll know what to check. I googled a lot on this but did not find anything helpful. Thanks.

Thanks for the pointer. Still could not understand why my laptop and android phone not able to see my SSID when wireless protocol set to default nv2 nstreme 802.11. It will work only when set to 802.11. Any explanation on this part? Thanks.
*
nv2 nstreme , is actually a modified 802.11 that is use for wireless bridging

u need to select the vanilla 802.11

read the documentation on the different radio type that is available

I want to find out if I can just add vlan.500-trunk to bridge-local or need to create a new bridge (LAN) to connect vlan.500-trunk to ether2-master.

I have Mikrotik connected to the BTU and I'm able to make the connection so Internet is fine. Now I need to configure a LAN port with VLAN 621 + 822 in order to have VOIP and then plug Thomson router on that LAN port. Is my understanding correct? laugh.gif
*
Thomson router is not the the BTU unit ?
