I see glomac has been a talk-about stock before. I just wonder who first recommended the stock?

I'm holding a big parang ready to cut loss if Unker Benny fails to unleash QE3 or at least do the Twist. Darn, it's going to be painful, like that fella who cut off his arm in All Men Are Brothers.

On the bright side, I've already shortlisted my target property, and the mutual fund I want to buy with my EPF, and other targets, when and if the economic storm hits.

Q1: some times the dividend given is given in percentage instead of in cents. How to tell how many cents is being given?..

for example, MFCB gives interim dividend 3%. So how much am i entitled to if i own 1000 shares in this counter?..

where do u find out the rate for the cents given?..pls advise. 

the percentage is calculated based on the par value.. if par value is rm1 then 3% is 1*0.03=0.03 cents = 0.03*1000 = 30. you can get the par value for mfcb from any trading platform or newspaper..

Q2: and if the ex-date is 22 SEPTEMBER 2011, i buy on 21 september, am i still entitle to the dividend?..

yes.. but no point doing so.. the price will be adjusted lower according to the div payout on the ex date..

Thanks goodness I've sold off the majority of my stocks in July. Otherwise I would have taken the lift to 14th floor today, instead of being bruised but still standing tall

i will start entering RM25k per week starting from next week until the end of the year. which mean got 14 weeks
14 x 25k = 350k
