QUOTE(tech3910 @ Sep 19 2011, 02:54 PM) dun let the "exchange with neighbour" fool u. 1) Wrong, neighbor LOST RM50 prior to being compensated. Of which that RM29 went to conman.remember these 2 facts: 1) neighbour just exchange, so neighbour nor gain, nor lose. 2) if neighbour nor gain, nor lose, then the amount buyer gain MUST BE EQUAL wit the amount shop has lost. else, where u think all the extra money magically comes from? |

QUOTE(shinkawa @ Sep 19 2011, 02:55 PM) lol, put conan avatar somemore. He got fake money at first, that's right., but he exchanged it for a REAL rm50 note. Put it in another words the whole transaction occurred in REAL money (because "fake" has become "real"). So he earned RM6 in that whole transaction. Lastly he pay back his neighbour RM50. So he lost 44.Problem is, he receive fake money. How to earn money if the money is fake. Is like i buy your thing with rocks. he gave the shoe = rm 15 he gave the real money = rm 29 he change back the fake money = rm 50 all lost = rm94 |

By using accounting method to explain
Young man fake money modal - DR rm50 1buy shoe - CR rm50 2obtaining the shoe(the shoe has its selling value btw)-DR rm21 3balance of the payment -DR rm29 account balance = RM100 young man untung rm 50 from buying cheating the shoes and the rm29 balances. Shoe store cost of the shoe - CR rm15 1Sell shoe - DR rm21 5borrow from neighbour - DR rm50 3return cash balance to young man - CR rm29 6return money borrowed from neighbour - CR rm50 2losses from selling the shoe - CR rm21 account balance = CR rm44 losses rm 44 for the shoes cost and cash balance cheated. Neighbour 5Money borrowed - CR rm50 6Money returned - DR rm50 account balance = RM0 neighbour got no loss no profit basically the RM 50 borrow is to mindfucuk u guys... note: the numbering infront is for you guys to track the transaction precisely... i hope this can explain the scenario... futher details please go back high school and resit your spm. |

QUOTE(shinkawa @ Sep 19 2011, 02:55 PM) lol, put conan avatar somemore. with your IQ level, so here I make a more simply way for you to understand :Problem is, he receive fake money. How to earn money if the money is fake. Is like i buy your thing with rocks. he gave the shoe = rm 15 he gave the real money = rm 29 he change back the fake money = rm 50 all lost = rm94 neighbour no gain and no loss, so the amount for neighbour = $0, the cheater get $29 cash and a pair of shoes cost $15, so the cheater gain is the loss of the shop, which is $44. QUOTE(shinkawa @ Sep 19 2011, 02:55 PM) lol, put conan avatar somemore. he still got RM21 (real) in hand yo....Problem is, he receive fake money. How to earn money if the money is fake. Is like i buy your thing with rocks. he gave the shoe = rm 15 he gave the real money = rm 29 he change back the fake money = rm 50 all lost = rm94 he gave the real money = rm 29 (real) which is from RM50 (real) - RM29(real) = RM21(Real:remain balance) so RM94 - RM21 = RM73? My answer: Lost: A. Shoe = RM15 (sure Loss) B. Give to the young guy = RM29 (RM21 remain) C. when return RM50 to Neighbor, need to top up = RM29 * B. Remain RM21 + C. Topup RM29 = RM50 So this RM50 return to Neighbor, then now Shoe store no owe Neighbor anything d so the loss = RM15 + RM29 = RM44 |

Is like i buy your thing with rocks. he gave the shoe = rm 15 he gave the real money = rm 29 he change back the fake money = rm 50 all lost = rm94 he still got RM21 he only needs to return RM50 to the jiran. RM50 - RM21 = RM29 he top up RM29 to return RM50 to jiran. shoe costs RM15 so RM29 + RM15 = RM44 he rugi RM44 but if u add in the RM6 profit he supposed to have got from the sale of that shoe, it is RM44 + RM6 = RM50 so its either RM44 or RM50 depending if u wanna add in the RM6 profit |

One day a young man came to the shoe store and bought a pair of shoes. This pair of shoes cost RM15, selling price is RM21.
The young man took out RM50 to buy these shoes. But the Shoe store did not have small change, and then the shoe store take the RM50 to his neighbor store to exchange, and return RM29 to young people. But the neighbor store was later found that RM50 is counterfeit, the shoe store person is desperate, and return RM50 to the neighbor store. The question now is: how much the shoe store actually lost in this transaction? Shoes selling price = rm21 rm29 (not fake right?) = rm29 Return rm50 because desperate (not fake right?) = rm50 21 + 29 + 50 = 100....need more than 1 page for this? And yes its 21, not 15...because business is running on profit. In this case, they lost the profit...not just the cost of shoes. Awesome...answer not in the poll somemore. EDIT...silap...I think answer should be 79...but based on poll answers is rm73. Since I neglected to take into account 50-29. This is why 'semak skali lagi sblm hantar bangang!" he had a shoes worth rm15, then he sold it for rm21, which means he had to return balance of rm29. But in the end the rm50 note was counterfeit so he had to take another 50 out of his pocket.. therefore
-15 -29 -50 ----- -94 This post has been edited by ray6369: Sep 19 2011, 03:09 PM |

QUOTE(s2peMocls @ Sep 19 2011, 03:02 PM) That is true, but i think he was meaning from a summary point of view. All in all, neighbour's nett money movement was 0 because he gave Rm50 and he received back RM50. Of course if we analyze each transaction, neighbour lost RM50 at a point prior to receiving it back. Seller gave Rm29, and gave shoe worth RM15, but received fake money worth RM0. Total is -RM44. Cheater gave fake money worth RM0, received shoed worth RM15, and received money RM29. Total is +RM44 Its clear but many people got conned due to they not realising the seller received RM50 in small change in exchange for fake money. |

QUOTE(davve @ Sep 19 2011, 02:07 PM) One day a young man came to the shoe store and bought a pair of shoes. This pair of shoes cost RM15, selling price is RM21. If you ask a lawyer he will tell you the shoe store didn't lose anything. The question now is: how much the shoe store actually lost in this transaction? it was the Shoe Store PERSON who returned the money to the neighbour. but giving allowance that TS is interchanging Shoe Store with Shoe Store Person, then the Shoe Store/Person lost a total of RM73. Follow the question carefully. The value of the shoe is RM15. that was lost. The change was RM29 which was also lost. The RM50 was not totally lost because the Shoe Store got RM50 in change, gave RM29 to buyer and has RM21 in his cash machine. so when he returned RM50 to the neighbour, you will have to remember he still ahs RM21 and his nett loss here is RM29. therefore his loss is RM15 (Shoe) + RM29 (Change) + RM29 (difference between RM50-RM21 retruned to neighbour) = RM73 |
