Yeah... need to know this also. My son always watch his favorite movie very near to the screen.

My Plasma: VIERA TH-P42X10K

Is Plasma technology dying? I heard Panasonic going to obsolete Plasma TV soon.

I went to shop looking for TV to replace my parents projector TV. The sale person told my parents "Plasma using gas, if the gas finish where to go for refill?"

I was wanna laugh that time.

We got our GT50 for almost 2 months now and we didn't even run break in slides at all. And we play a lot of PS3 and so far we see no IR. Sometimes you cannot believe everything you read in forums as it can be biased. Just my 2 cents. Nobody in their right mind would leave static image for more than 12 hrs and we switch our TV on almost 18 hrs per day as we work from home.

This the best way to answer.

Its been almost 2 month since i used my 65st50. I can say the picture is pretty awesome, but its quite easy to get ir. Infact i got one quite bad in the bottom right corner (cartoon network logo). Im not sure how long we stay in the same channel, but i can guarentee its not more than 3 hours. I did try playing the color slide, watching other channels and stuff, but until now its still there. Maybe its getting dimmer. Will continue to observe this coming days and see what happen.

Emm... even already change channel its still there?
