I guess i am not alone, i agree with your points on XBA-1: good isolation, the mid-treble is nice and pleasant but lack bass. I am about 3 weeks into it, but still not ready to accept the trade off (rich detail over bass)

I am hoping to trade the XBA-1 to someone who might appreciate it more. Otherwise i am considering to get an amp to push the bass up. That would be a good idea because i love the mid-treble quality compared to EX300. If i can get the bass up, i would LOVE it

well, since i cant live without bass, i had to pick EX300 over XBA-1, but if you ask me in the terms of sound quality - no doubt XBA-1 tops it because it sounds way-more liquid smooth, but just the bass, its just me i know 

bought xba-1 totally satisfied for the price i paid, thumping bass, not overwhelming, but it is there.. the clarity is there but cannot compare to phonak pfe 132... that would be my next target xba-3 not really special for that price, aside from better bass and clearer sound.. by little bit only.. pfe 132 sounds really sweet and nice did tried acs t15, too harsh and bright for me, feel like no bass at all haha..
