Certainly there's a misunderstanding here. As long you buy from local authorised dealer you have 1 year warranty + additional 3 months if you registered online.
About the online registration I had not register my xba-4 yet, so I also had no idea which is the serial no.

I'm afraid online registration is not available for Sony earphone as I couldn't find the serial.Somemore online registration required you to register within 7days after you purchased.
However as long you have your proof of purchase, the 1 year limited warranty is valid for your xba.

Sony earphone is consider portable audio under audio section which is 1 year warranty. Unless they consider it as accesory like batteries or charger stated in the website.
This really makes me wonder Sony Malaysia know what are they selling or not...

XBA4 is very picky on its source. I tried it on Xperia Arc, Ibasso D12 and Fostex HP-A3.
Like you said it sounds thin and no bass when plug into HP-A3. However when plug into D12 you get full body of bass and it does not sound thin anymore. The result of Arc is between those two dacs.
