I tried calling sony centre gardens, they said the stock for xba-1 isnt here yet due to the flood in thailand. Which somehow sounds like b/s. Sony centre midvalley however, said they dont sell headphones at all. Maybe my engrish aint that good, i dunno. I specifically said "do you have the xba-1 headphone in stock?" Tried calling sony store klcc, nobody pickup -.-

Where else can i get the xba-1? Really on a rush here since im leaving for kuching this weekend @.@

according to jaben , heard they will bring in soon, you can wait and see the stock appears in their online store too.

Sucks that they actually said "now available in malaysia", at least thats what i saw on the lowyat frontpage. I cant play the waiting game since i will be leaving for kuching this weekend. And flights without music, in fact anything without music really bores me.

Im currently using the XBA-1.. I find it okay.. low on the bass as compared to my last sony earphones.. would love to give Xba-3 or 4 a try out and see.

Low bass? What was ur last sony earphone? My gf already bought the xba-1 for me..if the bass is truly low then i regret cry.gif

It's ba iem, normal la. Cannot compare with dynamic one. Try first and tell us what's it like the sound, who knows if it suit you.

That why there is:
XBA-2 - Dual Balanced Armature Full Range + Woofer
XBA-3 - Triple Balanced Armature Full Range + Woofer + Tweeter
XBA-4 - Quad Balanced Armature Full Range + Woofer + Tweeter + Super Woofer

XBA-1 may suitable for someone who only want to hear full range. I mean more to mid freq. (Like most girl do).

I got my XBA-1 yesterday. If you can imagine a pill, then imagine that very pill attached to your ears with a bud. Thats how it looks haha. About sound quality. It lacks bass. But one thing is for sure, the detail in each song i play now is so damn rich, i feel like im on a treasure hunt everytime i shuffle a new song on my player. Im not joking, i can literally hear sounds i wasnt able to hear before using my bass heavy ex50 before. I didnt change any settings on my poweramp app, just changed earphones. But the difference is like heaven and earth. Maybe its placebo, maybe its just me being a noob, but from this point onwards i wont go back to my older iem. Trading bass for rich detail is fine for me now HAHA.

P/S: The noise-cancelling earbuds they provide, it really does its job well. I tried using it in the middle of my flight without playing music, kenot hear the engine, vibrations etc. Can only hear the pilot announcing stuff, that also quite muddy. Wasnt the case before with my older iems. Pretty dangerous if you use it while walking on the street IMO.

What's your music quality and bit rate? hmm.gif

Mostly 128-320kbps, mp3 format. Mostly downloaded or ripped straight from soundcloud, thats where i get my music now. Dubious source for quality check, that i can agree tongue.gif

Hmm..yeah,I really doubt it as for me ,my previous experience with Sony ,they are only good at 120kbs instead of high quality lossless file yawn.gif
*
Sad to see that happened to you. Sounds weird, but worth investigating. But finding a lossless version of some of my songs..well, lets just say its very hard.

Who knows, maybe sony stepped up their game this time around?

if it was me, i go for JHAudio, UM, Westone or ACS customs. not fond of Sony products, they only LOOK great but aint THAT great

Noted. Once i have more knowledge on what it is to be an audiophile, or my xba is broken, maybe ill go for either one of those. Thanks!
