to understand carrick contribution to the squad u really need to understand his role and style of play. carrick always been a holding CM with more defensive mindset.
he help us kept the ball and pass around for others to move forward and do the attack while refrain opposition to attack. that his strength and i think clearly that is the reason why SAF playing him. he also hv shown good determination and high workrate ready to support other player when we defense or attack. carrick dont shine coz he always been just a link between forward player and defence player. as an attacking side that tend to do fast attack we need this sort of player to stay at the middle and provide link when needed. carrick rarely lost the ball so its good to hv this sort of player to play the role. he played many games for us all this years and aint we hv been doing good lately. since he came he hv provide more stabillty to the squad. giving other chance to move and run freely forward. then of coz SAF kept playing him so if its so hard to support or like him just trust SAF judgement.. |

at his stage and age it will be hard to change his style and improve any more.. for me just hope carrick can be at his best back as last season did shown some decline in his game.
oh yea we got 4 league title, 3 CL final since carrick came and he had played more than forty game every season |

QUOTE(sheng @ Oct 5 2011, 08:24 AM) for them, this is the biggest game of their every season, and fixed they are always at their best against us, so to get all 3 points would be really awesome, especially since our recent bad results in anfield. QUOTE(sheng @ Oct 14 2011, 02:01 PM) good for us if he doens't play in euro..he'll come back fresh for nx season. dun see england going far in the tournament anyway. no worries england still got their most expensive player whateven with the ban dont think capello will drop him from the squad. i think england good enaugh to atleast make it to first KO round. we hv 2 good GK woohoo..
i think we should worry more who will start at CB or playin DMC role. so far this season we hv giving to much space back there. thats why DDG have the chances to make all those saves |

QUOTE(ReAcTiVo @ Oct 24 2011, 01:14 PM) abang alien busy arr? rio look lost yesterday.. esp at latter stage of the games. maybe already thinking effect of losing to city. btw, i think Rio is not good enough on first team anymore? aniwan agree on my opinion? body on the pitch mind somewhere else. evra.. no coordination. just run up and down. one of his worst performance. but both still good enough. its only one game. rio did look good vs pool last time. the worries should be the fact that we are giving to much space between midfield and defence lately. maybe a natural DMC will do the job. at this moment theres only carrick to play that role |

QUOTE(kamkamparadise @ Oct 24 2011, 03:59 PM) Last night defeat is a good slap for our players. Yes, we were humiliated with big scoreline defeat at our home turf but it is a good wake up call for our players. after that impressive back to back win earlier i think some of our players are getting complacent and over confident. We can see that during UCL games and recent games. one thing we can be sure of is our players will pick themselves up and start winning game again. wake up call? for sure... good ones? hope so.. pick themselves up? have too.. long way to go.. next game will be vital. important to lift up the morale back. times for some reshuffle for starting lineup perhaps |
