I personally like Kuuga, Agito and Blade for darker theme,
Den-O and Kiva their for deep relationship plot(s),
OOO for well organized characters,
and Hibiki for renzoku jdrama.

And I still hating Fourze.

Like I said, special features like armors or gadgets in Shouwa era riders are not that much. They only exist in V3's Riderman machine arms, X's Ridol stick, Amazon's Gigi and Gaga Armlets, and Skyrider's anti-gravity and glider. Choosing Amazon would be a wise option to adapt it as filler arc in Decade as said armors or gadgets could be use by Decade as trump card/last option skill. As for Black & RX, Kasumi no Jo is being brought up as the special theme for Black/RX arc, with Kotaro of Black being the Kasumi no Jo.
fun fact (lol)--Kasumi no Jo is actually Kotaro's friend and a modified human in the original RX series.

Adapting #1 and #2 in Decade will be a tough work (in my opinion, not a fact of course) as these two did not possess any special traits that Decade can make use out of them.

Also, if you mean symbolic here, the most memorable shouwa Riders (to put as in symbolic) are V3, Stronger, Black and RX. Not necessarily being Ichigo and Nigo.

Godai got the power first before Souichi -- If you are talking about Souichi's sister's power, yes, she preceeded Godai's Kuuga arcle power possession.
But Agito's power exist long before Kuuga's as it is originated from god's power. lol

I think the other way round. The scriptwriters and directors have been high on their "joke" weed since Fourze... or maybe OOO.

They seem to kick the logic off and forgot that there are still older audience that enjoy rider shows.
Toei is getting cheap lately. I'll not be surprise if this year rider going to have another decent theme and story.

Wizard earlier episodes (before the death of Pheonix) were at decent level though, and they have better pacing. Until the point were Nitou starting to act like a joker, the pacing of the story became unbalance and too much unnecessary jokes were forced into the plot.
It was still okay though, Infinity debut episode and Sora psychopath episodes were okay and improve the broken pacing back.
But (spoiler, in case you have yet to watch these episodes)

IMO, the production team should not take that kind of action and force it into the story. Let the dead be dead. Reviving the Phoenix plot have been used twice and it will bring forth again unnecessary plot (thus ruin the story essence) if they revive him once again.

I am still wondering... is there any meaning behind RX acronym?
