There are two numbers on a seaman card, one is above the picture, another is below it. Which is the seaman identity no and which is the seaman registration no? Last time they always call this 200800001000 seaman card no.

The rating in ALAM, which is 16 weeks, is it following Reg II/4 Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch or Reg II/5 Ratings as Able Seafarer Deck? After pre-sea course completion, need to go for 2 months or 6 months of seagoing service before you can get WKR?

Entry Requirements
Age not less than 16 years old on the registration day
Not colour blind
Passed medical check-up conducted by Jabatan Laut approved medical practitioner.
Minimum SPM / SPMV / equivalent with strong credits in Mathematics / Additional Mathematics, Any Science / Technical subject and Any one of other subject.
SPM pass in Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Inggeris

Total fees is around RM66,000.
