Age 27, diploma in mechanical engineering (aeronautical) from utm. 5 years of working experience in plant facilities dealing compressors, hot water boilers (not steam), chillers, waste water treatment. Any idea what is the route to become chief engineer? So far I can see start with greaser --> oiler --> 4th engineer --> 3rd engineer --> 2nd engineer --> chief engineer. Also i think chances to get sponsorship from big2 shipping company like misc, aet are also slim. Maybe for offshore support vessel there is still hope. However I am still not sure about this. I am really appreciate if someone can enlighten me. Thank you.
