Guys...how is the MISC company now? Still very bad to sea going officer and pay low salary? From the version 1 of this thread I found that some of you say the company rugi and the salary keep on decreasing for the seafarer same as the intake in ALAM...is that true?

3rd mate misc now basic if im not mistaken rm8700
bt misc have tons of junior officer , most of them after 1 year of graduation only get the chance to join ship , only those super smart people join ship early ,
yearp misc is selling their chemical fleet

How about the intake for DME this few year?

dme and dns intake is equal
if u get dns , sooner or later can change to dme bfore starting the course , and vice versa

been in this career more than 3 years. what can i say, i met more gay, drug addict, gambler, and hiv positive people on shore than at sea.

we seaman nowadays undergo more rules and regulation.

no drug n alcohol onboard. and furthermore strict medical checkup performed forbid anyone with STD to sail.

Welcome back. Missed you. How is your life currently as a seafarer? Any rough moments and how did the Capt treat u as a cadet. Had a shock recently when we visited an MISC ship, and the Capt scolded one of my classmates for using the phone. Was shocked and scared at the same time. Also, if u don't mind, how was AET paying u before u left. Is the new company paying you a lot more?? thanks and welcome back

Can I use trial result for joining ALAM? I am sitting for SPM this year...

in the month of december , there will be intake for those using spm result ,the exam will be in jan , then when you get your actual result , you have to post it to alam.

This mean if i pass the interview I also not comfirm can join ALAM?

they will give you conditional offer letter , with this offer letter you are selected to join ALAM if your spm result meet the requirement

thank you all. sorry for deserting all of you. luckily there's many other here lend me a helping hand on answering all the inquiry. ohhh. you guys should be briefed before you go onboard. captain is right because usage of electrical n electronic are forbidden in most part of the ship except inside accommodation. this is due to the possibility to create spark n static electricity which could cause fire and explosion. you guys o the other hand should be briefed 1st because what does 1st timer know bout this. this is no one fault. everyone trying to do their job.

i left aet direct after graduation. never serve them after that. yep. they're paying me a lot more. and i'm now 3rd engineer already.
