ASROCK & G.SKILL Online Overclocking Challenge

Need some excitements? Want some challenges? Want to win away some fabulous prizes? Yes, we hear you and proudly announce this Online Overclocking Challenge based on Intel LGA 1155 Socket which will be officially kick start from 26th September 2011 until 22rd October 2011.

This Online Overclocking Challenge has no boundary and limitation on brands. You are most welcome to participate and bench it with any brands of motherboard and memory.

The OBJECTIVE of this Online Overclocking Challenge is to PROMOTE the overclocking community in Malaysia and DEVELOP the interest and DISCOVER the fun in overclocking.

ASROCK & G.SKILL Overclocking Challenge Details
- Benchmark: PCMark 7 Basic Edition & Super PI 32M v1.5 mod
- Official Submission: Lowyat.net & OCdrift.com
- Start date and time: 26th September 2011, 00:01
- Closing date and time: 22nd October 2011, 23:59

Benchmark Details
1. PCMark 7 - Participants are required to run the PCMark Suite of PCMark 7 in default settings of PCMark 7 Basic Addition. Please click on the link to download official PCMark 7. http://www.pcmark.com/benchmarks/pcmark7/download/
2. Super PI 32M ¨C Participate are required to run a complete Super PI 32M and get the shortest time possible. Only Super PI v1.5mod is allowed. Please click on the link to download. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZIUUAH80

Scoring Details
- Each benchmark has an equal weightage, i.e. 50% PCMark 7 and 50% Super PI 32M
- Final scores are based on overall scores accumulated from PCMark 7 and Super PI 32M

Points and Ranking Details
The points will be awarded based on entry submitted EACH DAY (from 26th Sept 2011 00:01 - 22nd October 2011 23:59) and ONLY valid entry will be rank (Please refer to the submission details). The highest the score (PCM7) and the shortest time (Super PI 32M), points will be given accordingly for each day. Participants do not required to submit entries every day as long as he/she had already submitted a valid entry, points will be awarded from that day onwards and rank for subsequent days. Participants are encouraged to submit multiple entries if he/she has a higher score and/or shortest time during this Online Overclocking Challenge. The points system for EACH benchmark is as followed,
-Rank 1st for the day: 20 points
-Rank 2nd for the day: 18 points
-Rank 3rd for the day: 16 points
-Rank 4th for the day: 15 points
-Rank 5th for the day: 14 points
-Rank 6th for the day: 13 points
-Rank 7th for the day: 12 points
-Rank 8th for the day: 11 points
-Rank 9th for the day: 10 points
-Rank 10th and onward: 5 points

Submission Guidelines
- Only submission to either Lowyat.net or OCDrift.com is acceptable
- PCMark 7 submission must contain 3 different tabs of CPU-Z (i.e. CPU, Mainboard & Memory) and 1 tab of GPU-Z (Graphic Card) in the screenshot. Validation link of PCM7 submission has to submit together with the screenshot.
- Super PI 32M submission must contain 3 different tabs of CPU-Z (i.e. CPU, Mainboard & Memory) in the screenshot. A link of CPU-Z validation ver 3.0 is required for every submission.
- Only CPU-Z ver 1.57 or latest and GPU-Z ver 0.5.5 are allowed
- All submissions must use the Official Wallpaper as Background. Please download from here. http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk386/b...y/wallpaper.jpg
- All submissions must include a photo of your rig with a paper showing your Forum Nick in lowyat.net or ocdrift.com and a date on it.
- Top 3 winner are required to submit one video each showing the last 3 tests in PCMark 7 and last 5 loops in Super PI 32M with all the required CPU-Z and GPU-Z tabs for each benchmark and as well showing the system is still running after the benchmark is completed.

Rules and Regulations
- Open to Malaysia community or anyone residing in Malaysia
- No brands limitation on motherboard and memory
- ONLY Intel LGA1155 Socket is allowed.
- Participant is ONLY allowed to use same set of motherboard and memory
- Only air or water cooling is allowed. No cold air passing through the heatsink is allowed except in air-con room and not directly blow on it!
- No CPU clock speed capped for PCMark 7 as long as it is using air or water cooling.
- For Super PI 32M, the CPU clock speed is capped at 4.5GHz. Participants are allowed to use the combination of multiplier and BCLK to achieve the capped speed. Any CPU clock speed shown in the validation link exceed 4500MHz (i.e. 4500.1 MHz) will be void and disqualified.
- We reserved the right to disqualify any entries. All decisions made in respect of this Online Overclocking Challenge are absolute and final.

Prizes
First Prize: 1 x ASROCK LGA1155 Motherboard & 1 x GSKILL 1600MHz 2x4GB
Second Prize: 1 x ASROCK LGA1155 Motherboard & 1 x GSKILL 1600MHz 2x2GB
Third Prize: 1 x ASROCK 1155 Motherboard & 1 x GSKILL 1600MHz 2x2GB
(Motherboard models will be finalize before 26th September 2011)

Its not hard to reach 4.5GHz for other platform(1156). Furthermore Super PI is single thread benchmark.
