I have been repeating this many times.GSC should accept AMEX if the cashier swipes on the UOB terminal. If EON/HLB terminal is used, it'll be most likely be declined.
Credit Cards Places to use your AMEX v1.1, Where to flaunt your American Express

My friend said that 0% installment plan AMEX at Harvey Norman is depending on which product that you're buying. It may and may not impose extra 3 to 4% fee.

I think TGV 1st Avenue doesn't accept AMEX. The guy in front of me handed over his MBB2 AMEX but the transaction didn't go through.
By the way, TGV is using Citibank terminal. |

QUOTE(whyee @ May 5 2012, 12:25 AM) purposely went to etiqa thinking they're accepting amex. when everything done and time for payment, the agent servicing me declined my amex2cards. (quite smart of her actually, knowing that there's a backup). forced to use visa, but at least got that 10% discount. Any reason given for declining AMEX? |
