Hi, I get reply from MBB AMEX
"by Bank Negara, all local cards (chip card) and EDC terminals must be EMV compliance. As such, all transactions must be reading from the chip instead of the magnetic stripe. However, the terminals use in Ikea are not EMV compliance for Amex card at this moment. We are in the midst of negotiating with Ikea and the acquiring bank to resolve the issue. We do regret for the interruption and inconvenience caused and thank you once again for highlighting this issue to our attention." |

depends.. at that time i did, last month, it had the amex logo.. maybe they removed it? if its there, u can, if not, u cant.

An official statement from ipay 88 would clear our doubt as they still advertise on their banner that they are accepting amex. Ikea case is closed as they did reply to one of the forumer.
