Hi,
I keep trying to find honest review for YouVista before I moved in and the reviews seems okay to me so far. So, I trusted the reviews and went ahead to stay in You Vista. However, after staying for two months, I would like to give a piece of my own honest review on this place.
Security concerns and issues:

Firstly, in these two months, there were three or more break-in cases that had happened. I am deeply concerned about the security. I never heard any security personnel patrol around my unit before or maybe I missed them. But this is a huge concern as I have stayed in Subang, PJ, and other areas before but the condos I lived in does not have such issues before despite having lower security initiatives than You City. The condos I stayed have monthly rentals that are around the same range which are below RM2k.
Secondly, there is a free parking area whereby you can park your car outside of the condo. However, I have noticed that someone has broken the windshield by throwing rocks at the windows of the cars. Why do you want to do that? In my period of stay, there were two cars that have such issues. It is obvious as the shattered glass were on the car and the floor which means someone just threw the rocks at the windows of the car in the parking area instead of the car being damaged at other place and the owner drove the car all the way to park outside of the condo.
Thirdly, pfft...lift with card scanners seems to assure you that only people with the proper card can access to your block right? NOPE. The 'Bomba' lift is accessible by anyone and can go to any floor. Other than that, some of the lifts often doesn't need to be scanned with cards. You can just go in, press the buttons and access any floors as you like. Don't believe me? Try it and see for yourself. That is why break-in cases happened and yet security measures are not taken seriously by the management.
Community demographics:

There are a huge population of African or Nigerian people living here. I remembered visiting 8th and 10th floor to view two units but I forgot which block ( I remember both being behind the swimming pool) . Well, once I opened the door, I saw messed up kitchen, dirty floor, broken furniture and at least 8 of them with very inappropriate attires (only boxers? WTF? Eventhough you are expecting guests??) in a house. This is due to the huge amount of investors here that just wanted someone to occupy their place and give rental every month despite of the races. So, a note to those that have a problem staying in the same place with them.
And yes, they are still there. I saw the same people in the parking lot recently and they always gathered at a church in the shop lots nearby the area.
Lastly, my property agent keep emphasizing me about this which I am not sure why he want to emphasize about races but if there is any owner and property agents that emphasize to you about the community here, just take a note of this. This is not a main Chinese community area. This is more of a Malay community area. Even, the management honestly told us the same thing.
I have signed a two year contract with my owner but I am going to forfeit my deposit and pay a fine to move out the next year to stay in a better area. Unless security initiatives are being improved, I am sticking with my decision to move out.
It is just not suitable for my family and me.
Just PM me if there is anything you want to know about the area, the place and any other things.
P.S: I will not reveal which unit and which floor I am staying as well as how much is my monthly rental for security measures. Hope you understand my situation. Thank you. This post has been edited by escanormatthews: May 7 2018, 10:13 AM
