Tot developer there going to manage the shops... With good management they can manage the balance of number of f&b, convenient store, retails, salon, servicing and others. Make sure non are over supply n maintain the shop quality....

Now look like going to out of control in future... Later full of massage shops.....with plenty of choices. Not bad also for some...lol

Anybody has info on the shop lots under You Vista? Are they being sold or managed by PJD itself?
*
I am not too worry about Vista retail few units. Be sure will have laundry shop & cafeteria.

I more worry You Festival Walk incase they are not own managed proper. Don't like Endah Parade all become chick and massage centre.

We should set up RA to protect You City image incase there spoilt a rule and set-up illegal business.

Ahken gor, are you saying that the upcoming You Festival Walk shops will also be sold off to individual buyers?

The success of the mall is critical for the project. I agree with you that we need to protect the image. Especially with competition from upcoming malls in Eko business park, cheras sentral and existing leisure mall.

Cheras folks will be spoilt for choices, so they need some USPs to bring the crowds in. Bring in a team of professional to manage properly if they lack expertise.

No, I never mentioned there will sold off individual. But I hope it will not like Endah Parade. Another problem I hope pjd changed a name to You Festival Mall, instead of Walk.

Bring more competition in Cheras like Leisure Mall & Ekocheras could improve standard living, while You City is a chance.

Do you believe Fengshui? If yes, you know where is green dragon & white tiger. Split at jln Cheras for left is Leisure Mall and right is tmn mutiara barat. Did you saw a shop of left "ong" than a right? But FS is about study and reference only. I hope Eko not being as "white tiger" area.

I am no FS expert but I do share the same observation with you on the 'wong'ness. Coincidentally, I visited Cheers Palace this morning and was informed that they will not be renewing their contract once it's up next year (whether it's related to 'white tiger' or not, I dunno LOL). Why your dislike for the name Festival Walk instead of Mall, mind to share?

Anyway, hope PJD will do better in terms of management this time around. Any info when this will be launched?

This location is too good to be hampered by poor management. I think PJD knew this as well and will put extra effort into bringing this mall up. After all, like some of the forumers here have shared, there might be a future hotel and college here too. So PJD's long term income will somewhat be dependent on the success of You City. Fingers crossed.

with their team i don't think so.. XD.... unless they can hirer Lend Lease come to manage it. australia base company. they are the 1 made setia city mall happen. they are very very straight to tenant + many rules and regulation need to follow. wink.gif or capitaland also good.

a good mall not just location. the team to manage the mall are far more crucial sometimes. thats why even SP setia don't dare to manage/handle by themselves. they hirer Lend Lease to manage the whole mall from the renovation stage to opening.

I think my statement doesn't come out the way I intended it to be. I was trying to say that You City's location is very strategic, it will be wasted if the end result is poor due to inferior management.

Well hopefully they come to their senses and bring in the pros. I fully agree with you that managing a mall is definitely not easy. See so many malls in KL nyawa2 ikan...

Cheers Palace is part of Eko takeover land so cannot renew to next year. But it is true the whole row business are slow and not many walk-in customer.

Ha ha... Walk is not related to FS. It is just my own opinion and sense of combine few existing project at Setia Walk, Wangsa Walk, Putra Walk & Platinum walk hardly to get full occupied. Anyway, those happening like KL Festival City/Parkson Mall, Paradigm Mall, Midvalley Megamall & of course not except Cheras Leisure Mall.

No idea, maybe 2015 about vp on you residence 1st.

Ahh...that explains why they have to move out.

Out of all the Walk Walk Walk, i have to disagree with you on Wangsa Walk because I stay nearby and every night also full of cars inside the parking and along the main road. Even Justin Bieber curi curi go and visit this Walk hehe

Hope they not selling the retail units out. that's will be out of their control in future.
exp: KL times squares and Queens bay mall. both malls retail units almost half of it sold to different individual buyers due to financial problems.
now hard for them to control the tenant quality at the retail unit thats not belong to them.

Anyway, what is popularity business in Wangsa Walk till there only crowded every night? How about weekdays or sunny days? All close gate for sunny days and open business in the evening?
