guys, I think there is a solution for those who wants to send MMS and do not want telco to charge you on data usage, but just for those who DOES NOT USE the data service, no intention to use data service on your SGS2.

Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

For Celcom postpaid user, like me, we will have separate settings for data and MMS just like the attachment below

Now from what I observe everytime I want to send an MMS, my phone will automatically kill the current connection, create new connection, and after MMS was delivered, it kills the connection that it just created and create a new one.

I ASSUME that since my phone has different APNs for different purposes, I think the APN for data can be altered, change accordingly to avoid data connection, at the same time leaves Data connection ON all times for MMS purposes.

in any of your APN that is for INTERNET connection, edit all fields and just put there <Not set>, since you cannot leave any field empty.

for MMS, leave it as it is, and make sure the last field, which is APN type, MMS is selected. just as shown below.

Once again, I'm telling you this based on my observation. you can try this at your own risk. I will not held responsible if anything were to go wrong, such as your prepaid was eaten by the provider for leaving the data connection on. I have not test it out. its just based on my observation.

If anyone willing to test this, do share with us if its working. might be able to help everybody who aint got no money for data connection on a smartphone. thank you.
