You could help it acquire satellite lock easier by:
1. Under clear sky and outside of building
2. Standing still. In fast moving cars, you will never get a lock.
3. Enable AGPS and if you did the above, should lock within seconds. Of course, server setting must be correct.

u can use either wifi or Packet data coz A-GPS need internet connection to get the location from the server.
