anyone try this?

our sgs2 usb cable is male that connected to pc right.

bought a usb cable with both female connector, then connect to end male sgs2 connecter, the other cable with female attach thumbdrive. can it read the thumbdrive? I just think about it.. but no female to female extension usb cable.

** is there a female + female usb extension wire? smile.gif

for that to work, i think the USB head need to be OTG type (for the purpose to connect to Thumb Drive). It seems that the OTG and normal standard version are not the same architecture. Something like that.

homemade JIG. although there selling USB JIG. but, its not wrong to know a little about the DIY..


one ques, can we use the USB JIG (not DIY version) to original unroot sgs2, will it go to download mode? And, will the counter increase if we just use the JIG without flashing it? TQ.

anyone here. i read the 1st post and Q&A. There no such question about the "yellowish screen at the left side of the screen".

i have read about it last time but i forgot about it already. It is normal that SGS2 produce the lite yellowish about 1/3 of the left side the screen? i set my contrast to 0% - 20%.

i just call samsung they said they will change the screen at 1st if u go to service centre. If the problem still persist. Then they look forword into it. Do u want to sent ur sgs2 to service centre? smile.gif I think after changing the screen and then new phone. The problem will not resolve.

i want to ask. my device havent root yet. Now the KIES provide new firmware.

1. If i upgrade to the newest firmware. The rooting step still same?
2. If i upgrade to newest firmware and root, can i revert to the official firmware since i just want to have superuser?

yep. that right. But, maybe im gonna sent my unit to claim for the yellowish. They said they will replace the screen st. after that, im not sure what they will do to the unit if i still sent it. I'll update here later after i got my unit for screen replacement.

same with me. just now i sen t service centre. the guy convince me that the problem because of the screen hardware not all the same. so, not all sgs2 will have the same yellowtint problem. some is very visible, some may not. If u dont want to go for claim, u probable need to bear it. but, he also try to format my sgs2 1st. if the problem still persists, i may claim for the screen replacement. no phone replacement will be made.

i update soon.

Plus from experience of people that go for warranty claim samsung do not seem to enforce any checking or penalizing base on this counter.

i want to ask. i update to latest firmware from kies. now the quick system info didnt show the a2sd space. but, previous firmware got the a2sd..

meaning that the stock sgs2 got partition for a2sd? because before i update my stock firmware. i believe that i saw there are 2gig storage for a2sd. and another is 1.9gig for internal storage.

after update to latest firmware, the a2sd storage gone..
