QUOTE(sunnyboy @ Sep 18 2011, 12:08 AM) re-quoting uncle bennyQUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 17 2011, 11:06 PM) To all new users : if you faced auto reboot problems check your apps. This is usually main cause especially if you are using crscked apps from blackmarket check your apps.if you did not use such apps just do a factory reset n monitor whether this is occuring. If so than send in to claim motherboard issues i can assure all of you thst so far most of the cook roms i have tested never gives reboot issue. So dont think this is due to cook roms it is either bad apps or motherboard issue |

QUOTE(SnoopyDevil @ Sep 22 2011, 03:13 PM) about sgs2 warranty registration, not sure if i've shared this before but for those who bought from SenQ, Senheng, Courts mammoth, etc., there is NO NEED for them to do online e-warranty registration. there is this special contract/promotion between samsung and them so if we need repair/replacement just go back to the store. Thanks for the info. For senq the remaining two years they will send it to samsung for repair/replacement as the seller told me.for senQ, total 3 years warranty, first year directly from samsung (unit will be sent back to samsung for repair/replacement) and remaining 2 years from senQ (not sure where they send to...) |

Ok, just tested. Change your APN type to MMS for both 3G WAP and 3G MMS setting and you can ON your data packet just for receiving/sending MMS.
I think this is only after I updated to KI2. I did try this setting before KI2 but weren't able to received/send MMS. I'm on stock rom unroot and maxis prepaid. Try at your own risk This post has been edited by Shizuru: Sep 22 2011, 10:47 PM |

Ok, for those who are interested, here's what I did to enable data packet for MMS only.
Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names Change APN type to MMS on both 3G WAP and 3G MMS. No need to delete anything. Now no need to rush to get data plan This post has been edited by Shizuru: Sep 22 2011, 11:40 PM |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 22 2011, 11:40 PM) OK., i send 3 mms to 3 different telco. From my umobile prepaid to celcom no, digi no and maxis no. All three cost 0.75 cents meaning cost only 0.25 cents each. RM0.35 maxis to maxis :/ meh..That's for umobile prepaid. Don't know how much it cost per mms for other telco though.. Added on September 22, 2011, 11:43 pm What telco are you on.? Try send one mms and see how much it cost :-) |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 22 2011, 11:58 PM) ~~ lol ~~ can only if I on wifi. I don't use data plan so it's convenient for me that way.Expensive lor. That's maxis to maxis. Imagine maxis to other network. Most probably 0.50 cents each mms :-) I see you dont have maxis internet on your apn setting. Meaning you cant surf internet is it.?? Ok, apparently if I send static pic it only cost RM0.25 the RM0.35 one is for animated pic. guess it depends on the size of the items sent This post has been edited by Shizuru: Sep 23 2011, 12:08 AM |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 23 2011, 12:06 AM) I just wondering whether data can be transmitted through your maxis wap. That's why i deleted all other setting and leave only the mms setting. That way there's no 3g/H icon although i enable my data network. The icon only come when send/receive mms. no data can be transmitted through my maxis wap if set the APN type to MMS. So no need to delete the other setting After send/receive mms the icon disappear again :-) |
