if that is pink spot.. then my blank A4 paper also have pink spot.. don't see any pink spot buddy.. philips & samsung monitor here.. lol
i guess one way for ppl to know what the pink spot is all about is to adjust the monitor contrast... quite sure at a certain setting, the pink spot will be obvious... but yes... this pink spot thingy is very much subjective... we all got diff sets of eyes, monitor settings... etc...

hmmm... wait, i think i recall seeing the pink spot thingy on anandtech review... lemme check.

no..it did not help sad.gif

the only way I do now..is use my fingers press on the phone speaker when taking pics..at least it can lower down the volume >.<
*
weird... my phone is not in silent mode. when i take photos, i dun hear the shutter sound (and quite sure my hearing is fine).

i checked my sound settings... system and media is set to 0.

when i push media to more than 0... no sound.

when i push system to more than 0... the shutter sound comes on. so very sure you just need to reduce system to 0. but i dunno what other thing uses the system volume besides the camera shutter.

*
sorry... for me... already so called ban kies. try to avoid using it as much as possible. so ya, everything is directly to media folder or whatever folder. plus into pc, browse... copy... paste.

sometimes i also take out card... but very seldom. so far... only 1-2 times.

What if I randomly take some shots during lunch time later, outside of office? I'd love to try out a mini experiment. No other setting(s) required, right? Just point and shoot? I'm rolling out later.
If one wants to be simple, you'll just have red, yellow, and blue. It's the fundamental set of subtractive primary colours.
*
actually, not sure if you realised... it depends...

there's your red, yellow, blue. but there's also red, green, blue.
see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Primary_color

if you want to re-produce the pink spot effect, you should try taking the photo indoor... maybe inside room where there's not much sunlight and the office lights are dimmed. the pink spot appears only in low light conditions. and dun use flash...

*
honestly... first time i hear 'battery disconnect' message. if battery disconnected... does it mean no power?!? this is the exact message?

anyway, i suggest:
* power down phone.
* take out batery
* wait 5mins
* put back battery properly
* try charging

if dun work, bring back to shop and claim warranty.

How do I check whether my ROM and dragon's ROM is different? If I wanna change my ROM I must root is it?
*
apps drawer --> settings --> about phone

from either the baseband, kernel or build... you should have something that looks like: xxxKF1.

mine is KF1. if you are using kies, there is supposed to be a new update. to KG1, i think. but since the update does not have anything that interest me (and kies being so buggy), i've yet to update. maybe when i m free, i'll just go to samsung service centre.

I see people are bringing up the camera pink spot issue again.
To share some information I've done a survey on the users here back in thread V10.
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...post&p=44371465

The verdict is that every SGS2 to date has the problem under the right condition (low to medium light, most obvious on white background or object) just the matter you can see it or not. Honestly if you see the anandtech review picture sample and you can't spot the pink tint, your eyes have some serious problem or you have a weak eyes. As you can see those claim they do not have the pink spot are unable/not willing to prove it with a picture sample.

Some say their problem is solved by upgrading firmware, this is unsure, for me until today I still have the pink spot issue even after upgrading firmware (KH3). I'll try 2.3.5 in a few days. Maybe camera firmware upgrade will make a difference but I can never upgrade my camera firmware, still stuck on OMEF01, maybe it is the latest version in our area. If you look at shopper86 sample obviously the picture is taken in a well lit room (see the shadow).

Anyway, the pink spot problem doesn't really affect much in daily usage of the camera. So far only about 10% of the pictures I've taken are crippled by the stupid pink spot, others are fine.
*
yup... i provided the links to those photos (from anandtech) just the page before this...

anandtech did say there are two sensors/ camera... so that could be why some are having this pink spot thingy...

As I know only AP.

possibly it was considered a bug and fixed.

i know the shutter sound is considered a legal requirement in some countries (voyeurism) and should not be possible for users to turn off without modding. so, it could be this reason that this bug was rectified in newer version. smile.gif

there was an update for the butterfly launcher... updated it last night and not too sure... but to me... it feels like scrolling between home screens is now smoother. beginning to like this even more.

if there's any complains:
* free themes seems dull
* pressing home button goes back to the default home screen. i would have preferred if it went to the last home screen i accessed.
