think it depends on the ROM used.. some older ROMs tied the shutter sound to the media volume, but i think the latest stock ROM do not link the shutter sound to the media volume anymore.. maybe independent by itself..

so my guess is mollai's ROM and yr ROM are different..

from either the baseband, kernel or build... you should have something that looks like: xxxKF1.

mine is KF1. if you are using kies, there is supposed to be a new update. to KG1, i think. but since the update does not have anything that interest me (and kies being so buggy), i've yet to update. maybe when i m free, i'll just go to samsung service centre.

yup... i provided the links to those photos (from anandtech) just the page before this...

anandtech did say there are two sensors/ camera... so that could be why some are having this pink spot thingy...

yours looks like KG1/ KG2... newer than mine. probably why i can and yours can't... lol.

may i know is Samsung Ori's set S2 -  white colour can be found in msia already? My fren plan to get one..

possibly it was considered a bug and fixed.

i know the shutter sound is considered a legal requirement in some countries (voyeurism) and should not be possible for users to turn off without modding. so, it could be this reason that this bug was rectified in newer version.

well, as i've explained earlier, samsung changed to shutter sound link to media volume.. probably now is independent by itself...

maybe got a lot complaints from ladies that some humsuplow go put silent and take their pictures.. 

Maybe replace with Galaxy Note

Latest KI3 rom shutter sound is off when system volume is 0. Not link to media volume.

whenever i type a SMS which is more than 3 pages, it will automatically convert it into MMS, hv u guys ever experienced this?

i checked through the settings but there's nothing for me to disable the auto-converting...

i would like to send the SMS with 4 or 5 pages rather than a MMS...

yes

All cook rom are rooted by default. So if you want to flash root no root also same. But most rom need you to be rooted with CWM to flash.

But if you want to try different version of official rom (non-cooked) you can use odin. No need root.

First of all, congratulation to this fastest thread V14.

I have been following this SGS2 thread for more than 2 months.

My problem is charging my SGS2 takes ard 5 hours to 100% (at night) and after I unplug ( in d morning) from the charger, in 5 minutes the juices drop to 70%.

I am using ZDtools app to monitor, no Wifi, no GPS , no bluetooth.

It is the battery problem or else? 
I had uninstall many applications/tools/games to reduce running app on d background but the juices still drop.

Before reset to factory default, is there any thing I can to omit doing the last option.
