You've been very helpful but as silly as it sounds, may I know where I can get access to the "My Files"? It is under SETTING?
*
"my files" is the default file manager provided. check it from your apps drawer (menu). or else u can use any other file manager like astro file manager, es file manager etc.

You are making me sweating in cold. I'll get back once I try it out. I click on the icon MUSIC DOWNLOAD---Click on LIBRARY---Click FOLDERS---It came out /mnt/sdcard/musicdownload (15)

I think I got about 15 ringtones in there.
*
you can just cut the whole thing inside "musicdownload" and move into "media>notifications" (create one if u dun have). either use the file explorer in ur phone ur do it using ur computer. way easier

this ringtone Q reminds me of anything thing i find puzzling with the sgs2 audio settings... it seems to have so many options...
i think there are like 4 diff settings:
* incoming
* media
* system
* notification

it gets confusing when we go into silent mode. i have noticed that silent mode does not mute media. when you launch games and movies, the audio will be at the volume you had set. and when you launch the media, your silent mode is turned off (meaning no longer in silent mode). it can get pretty confusing... heh heh...
*
yeah it sucks. i turned silent mode on, n try to have some secret gaming during office hour, and the sound is so loud that whole office is looking at me doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Found this great simple  tool : Darkyrom2 Tool

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.ficeto.darkyrom2

Use it to flash tar files ( example kernel ) without using Odin. Just launch the app and just select "Flash /Ibnstall file from sdcard"
*
err uncle benny, i'm using cwm to flash tar file and it works, so probably not necessary to get it if ur custom rom doesnt remove the cwm application smile.gif

ya, i noticed this as well... scrolling between home screens not as smooth with SSKIN. but i kinda like SSKIN.

wondering why Samsung never implement this instead for Touchwiz.
*
if u look more clearly, SSKIN is clearly another imitation of launcherpro doh.gif

Guys...My SGS2 sometimes restart by it self...wonder if other users have the same issue?
Attached a screenshot on my battery usage. When it restart, the battery level goes down deep...
*
dat's usual la. reboot consumes a lot of battery life. go do a battery calibration after flashing rom, then wait for few cycles to reach the normal stage.

Smart Alarm? Is it an application? Thanks but no thank you as I'm not interested in buying a clock from the night market. It's years that I've utilise my mobile as my alarm "clock".

I'm not sure. I chose my personal ringtone and it came out some other ringtone as alarm. I do not know what sound/music is that but it's sounded like bell or something. I chose A, it came out B.

The name is "smartphone" but  when it comes to simple setting for an alarm...Sigh.

Added on September 20, 2011, 10:12 am

BINGO!

*
hmm. weird. try reset ur alarm again, or go market download "tone picker", which is way more convenient in selecting the ringtones for alarms, msg, etc. u sure the tone is not corrupted? laugh.gif

QUOTE(antt00 @ Sep 20 2011, 10:36 AM)
Out of curiosity i try it out a minute ago picking a mp3 from my files which is located on my external sd. It played the choosen melody without a problem. Can you try another melody and see.

Then i thought maybe the size of mp3 could be a problem so i try a full mp3 song 7mb and it still play without problem. Bloody loud until i terkejut.
*
dun think size is a problem. my ringtone is kara no kyoukai OST, Flac file type with 80mb. still play perfectly and every morning explosion happens 4 times beside my ear (snooze 3 times doh.gif)

QUOTE(antt00 @ Sep 20 2011, 10:50 AM)
Mine with data off is about 2 - 3% drop for about 6 - 7 hours. I think about 1% drop every 2 hrs.

Edit: i don't do battery cycle also just wipe batt stat.
*
dun pay too much attention on how many percents drop in one hour. look at the big picture. as long as the phone can last u out for 2/3 day usage, wat's the pain to look at the phone's battery level every hour? not like ur gentle touch can slow down the drainage

My phone battery is a bit weird.
It's fully charged in a really short time.
And it discharged at really slow rate. (it's been 2 days, only at 60%, just connect to pc usb half hour ago, and already charged at 90%)

Guys, just asking. I want to set up my phone to be a beast! In that case, which rom and kernel should I use? And must be Tegrak Overclock compatible. Tried Litening, Batista, and Cognition. For kernels only tried Nimpo and Siyah.
*
tegrak compatible? please disregard nymph.

quoted from hacre:

QUOTE
I have Tegrak installed while using your kernel, does that make me an idiot?
Yes.

*
if i din remember wronly tegrak only compatible on stock kernel, cf-root, tegrak and also lulz kernel. i had purchased tegrak ultimate when using litening rom, and being screw hard by tegrak afterward as setcpu had raised up, leaving my tegrak ultimate useless doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Instead of going through all the hassle of using 1 program to change the governer and another to control the clock speed, why now use Tegrak? it has everything and even can undervolt and control GPU speeds
*
u noe, compatibility is an issue for tegrak.
