Ok... i've put my money down and made the purchase of my kitchen appliances.
After all the searching here and there i decided to stick with a brand i'm familiar with and trust.

Now i'm facing the task of thinking up how i'm gonna lay-out my kitchen. I've got the rough idea in my head and my dry and wet kitchen will be separate areas in the house. For getting the space ready for the hob and hood, i'm roughly familiar with that so not that concerned there.

My question would be for the oven that i'm planning to install. Now i don't rather fancy putting the oven in a custom built cabinet. Am wondering if anyone here has tried doing a concrete box which sits about kitchen counter height for the oven?

If any of you have, are there any considerations that i need to consider besides ventilation and ensuring that the oven is installed flush with the concrete box? Don't want to get this portion wrong as tearing down concrete and rebuilding can be expensive if not just time consuming.

Hahahahaha... great minds think alike maybe. Actually prefered these models coz the hob is wider, easier to use both burners at the same time and i like that slanted top part of the hood coz easier to reach and wipe after use.

Added on September 15, 2011, 5:15 pmThis oven is a built in oven. Thats why i'm wondering if its better in the long run to build a concrete frame to sit the oven inside in comparison to building a cabinet and fitting the oven in.

My worry is that in the long run the hot air released by the oven may cause the cabinet's wood to spoil. Want to avoid as much unnecessary trouble in the future.
