Can i really feed this to my chicken to reduce the smell of their poop?

You may spread the DE evenly inside the coop, dust bath areas, roost areas and in the runs/yards to help dry up the poop, which helps to also keep the fly population, keep the ticks away and the smell of chicken poo to a minimum.

So put around where they live and not inside their food ?

Yes, that's right. But you may also feed the DE as a supplement.

DE contains 15 trace minerals; calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, copper, zinc iron, phosphorous, selenium, etc. People note better overall health, better production, shinier coats, etc. in their animals who are fed DE regularly
