Yes. U have to use the backup option. Not manual copy. Then u have to restore the backup back to the ps3 (only the same ps3, other ps3 wont work).MY PS3 is HDD 120 GB

I suggest u get a bigger HD. U cant play the game thru external drive like on PC.
