Guys can help me pls.

Im trying to update via USB, I just swap my HDD, but I got this error the data is corrupted (8002F225) after pressing start select. Everything should be correct, the file is in PS3/UPDATE.
Any solution?

My bluray is back to normal now. No more skipping/stuttering.

Method used: Cleaned the lenses with microfibre cloth. No alcohol used. Bought the special screwdrivers at Lowyat Plaza.

Reason for DIY: couldn't find the Bluray Lens Cleaner.

delete the firmware in your USB drives , re-download the firmware again

Really ? Wow, good for you. I still don't know what's wrong with mine and going to send them to technician for repair but my father wanna buy me a new one next weekend.

Luckily it was the right one.

Super Slim got one advantage: if the lens is dirty, can clean it yourself quite easily. No need special screwdrivers and such.

Yes, can connect Ext HDD/pendrive. And yes they must be in FAT32 format.

as a PS3 beginner, what are some important things that I must know? especially about buying game. which shop at lowyat (or anywhere in KL) sells game at good price. and any details that I should know before buying a game? i have no idea about the region stuff. please explain. thanks.

i heard that ps3 no region lock
like u play r1 disc then u can play on9 with r1 server with ppl u cant play r1 disc and connect play with fren that play r2 disc

yes, ps3 no region lock on consoles.. which means you can buy any region disc for any region machines but.. some games does..

in my case, i bought my ps3 from UK and registered my PSN id and origin in the UK,

bought the latest FIFA 13 asia region, and because of my psn origin was registered in the UK, i just registered another psn with local address and redeemed my online passcode.. (you have to do it only once)


then just re-login to my UK based psn id.. and play normally..

how to register for PSN id and how to pay when I want to buy DLC?

I should have Google about this but I just want to know Malaysian's way. Most tutorial on the net are probably from other countries.

1. got internet
2. got email address
3. fill-in the blanks (names, address)

*if u use My address, u'll have My account.

buying DLC:
1. got CD game
2. got internet
3. got money (credit card / PSN "prepaid" card)
4. use the PS3, surf PS Home, find Add-on/DLC section.
5. follow on-screen instruction.

* if u use My acc., u'll get My DLC.

my fast advices:
1. if u have My account, buy My game.
2. My game so u can download bought DLC using My acc.

my experince:
1. bought US GT5 cd
2. later bought GT5 DLC using My acc.,
3. unfortunately DLC cannot be installed becoz DLC (My) & Game (US)
4. borrowed my frens My GT5 cd
5. luckily DLC can be installed becoz DLC (My) & Game (My)
6. but i'm very "gila" on GT, so i make another US acc. (same step as register, but using US address)
7. bought GT5 DLC using US acc.,
8. voila, DLC can be installed becoz DLC (US) & Game (US)

i'm noob here, & that's all i know.

currently offline mode: Update 4.3 seems troublesome, takut PS3 kaputt. wait & see 8)

Uh, wat registration you referring to? Sometimes the code are for Square Enix website (membership, etc etc) and not the game itself.
