Hi,

Can anyone tell me more about EJU?
http://www.jasso.go.jp/eju/index_e.html

And Can i study EJU by myeslf? I am staying in Melaka, so Attending EJU course seems impossible to me.

Anybody know how to gain admissions to Tokyo/Osaka University by using STPM results??

Any help is appreciated.

anyway, i also find out that most (or should i say all) Japanese university will only pick student base on their "entrance exam" which is the EJU i believe?? and also, i check in internet that say that most Japanese tertiary education only requirements is that overseas students should have at least 11 years of education from primary till secondary......and also Japan language proficiency if course.....

Yes most of the Japan Unis just solely look at your EJU results. Your co-curricular activities also play a part in enrolling into National Unis. Because of EJU, most of the unis only need to prove that you have undergone 11-12 years of education in primary and secondary schools.

If not mistaken you are taking STPM right now?

I thought money is a problem in studying in Japan, but they also look at koko marks!?!?!?!? shieett!!!!!!

NO your koku marks is insignificant here! What I meant is do you participate in some IMPORTANT activities that can give you a boost in your resume (Like Maths Olympiad, Physics Olympiad, etc) You can easily obtain koku marks through school activites but these will rarely help in enrolling into overseas uni. Only Local Uni looks at this though. hmm.gif

btw, if let's say my EJU results is good, but my participation in koko is weak, then they will not look even at my EJU test is it???

Most private unis just look at your EJU results. In prestigious National Unis like University of Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Kyushu etc, they have to consider your extra activities as their placement for international students is extremely limited. Imagine you have to compete with students from other countries as well (especially CHINA!)

BTW, STPM first term exam is around the corner, why don't you focus on that first?

There's competition EVERYWHERE. This is reality.
Even if you want a placement in local Unis you still have to compete with matriks and asasi students, and they have more priorities than you in critical courses, sad to say cry.gif

If you wanted to aim for so-so universities in Japan, might as well study locally because their qualities are almost the same. Unless you want to experience a different study environment and culture.

At least we are on the same boat now. whistling.gif

What if i want to study degree in game programming or computer science in Japan, how can i get scholarship, what's the requirements, is it enough to cover your daily expenses?
*
The only way to get scholarship for MALAYSIAN studying in Japan is MEXT Scholarship. To obtain it is not easy tongue.gif
You need to pass EJU exam and have at least 12 years of education, which you should have it after finishing your pre-U/foundation.

Applying to Japan Universities is quite troublesome, since you need to translate a lot of your official documents to English. You can ask an educational agent to do it for you, or enroll into Pre-U studies in Institut Bahasa Teikyo, where they will guide you for EJU exam.

Monthly expenses in Japan depends on districts where you in. You will be paying more in Tokyo, of course.
If not mistaken the monthly expenses is about 110,000-200,000 JPY.
