Hi Kanan,

Not sure if the answer to this question would still be relevant to u now that its been around two months since you last posted the question but here goes.

Unfortunately, your pre-u cert will not be useful in this case and I'm speaking out of experience. I did my A levels thinking that I would need it to fulfil my requirement to enter Japanese universities but it was completely useless in my case. rclxub.gif In the end, I still had to go through the whole process of sitting for EJU and JLPT and all and if the system is still the same then and now, I'm afraid that you would have to spend an extra year at least for this.

No two way about it as far as I know. But maybe things have changed now that I've left Japan for almost two years.  So keep asking around, u never know icon_rolleyes.gif

All the best!!!! flex.gif

wah, thx God you finally answer lol, I'm still waiting for your reply haha smile.gif

anyway, i also find out that most (or should i say all) Japanese university will only pick student base on their "entrance exam" which is the EJU i believe?? and also, i check in internet that say that most Japanese tertiary education only requirements is that overseas students should have at least 11 years of education from primary till secondary......and also Japan language proficiency if course.....

btw, after graduation from Japan university, have you decided to continued master at there or find job at there??

thx

Yes most of the Japan Unis just solely look at your EJU results. Your co-curricular activities also play a part in enrolling into National Unis. Because of EJU, most of the unis only need to prove that you have undergone 11-12 years of education in primary and secondary schools.

If not mistaken you are taking STPM right now?

NO your koku marks is insignificant here! What I meant is do you participate in some IMPORTANT activities that can give you a boost in your resume (Like Maths Olympiad, Physics Olympiad, etc) You can easily obtain koku marks through school activites but these will rarely help in enrolling into overseas uni. Only Local Uni looks at this though.  hmm.gif

oh, lol.....

haizzzzz, not really, when i in form 4,5 i hot participate in competition that got 14 marks(state level) one....but, that's all ....

btw, if let's say my EJU results is good, but my participation in koko is weak, then they will not look even at my EJU test is it???

Most private unis just look at your EJU results. In prestigious National Unis like University of Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Kyushu etc, they have to consider your extra activities as their placement for international students is extremely limited. Imagine you have to compete with students from other countries as well (especially CHINA!)

BTW, STPM first term exam is around the corner, why don't you focus on that first?

wah piang eh!! just when you mentioned about competition with international students i scared until sweating liao lol cry.gif

btw i don't aim top universities, just so-so Japan university okay already, but as long as my parents & i can pay then okay laa, that's why i willing to take year gap to collect money lol

idk why i have this mindset of study abroad even though i know that my $$$ & knowledge is nowhere near compared 2 my friend who study in here, haizzzzz at least I'm willing to try ........

stpm 1st sem you give me pass i can be happiest student in world liao lol, wish me luck for my shitty life by the way

adiós, amigo icon_rolleyes.gif
