There is a fertilizer factory (Kilang Baja Lay Hong) just across the river behind Desa coalfields, and has been causing problems for residents of DC and also Saujana Utama nearby.

However, in May 2010 the new Selangor govt has instructed them to stop the production of organic fertilizer, and disposed off current stock.

In September 2010, it was said the factory had moved.

Not sure what the latest update. Maybe resident of DC and SU can help?

The factory dumps its waste into Sg Buloh, which flow right past DC and then downstream to SU, so they get smell sometime.

BSC is much further upstream (esp Phase 1 whistling.gif ) so I don't think it will be an issue.

Just came back from defect checking round 2.

Generally OK. Finishing a bit rough, but no major issues.

Went driving around and saw two rows of Banyan already having hairline cracks on the facade.
Check your units carefully on the outside. Look at the area above the masterbedroom toilet window.

Also apparently KLK went overcreative and included a plug point for water heater next to the watertank ON the roof.
You can see it on the wall supporting the roof tiles, next to the tank.
Would that be dangerous when it rains?
The switch to on it is in the masterbedroom.

Went to check on the defect fixing for oleander today.

Just wanna ask opinion if these shows that the defect is considered fixed? To me is still not acceptable.
Hope to get your opinion.

1. Water bib - before, after, suppose to be
2. Water closet water control
3. Hole under the water closet - what is it for? suppose to be a hole there?

Not so well repaired. Had the same defects in my unit. Was better after fixing.

The hole is the overflow for the watertank. Darn ugly, but necessary.
They could have done a better job though, use more white plaster to even up the edges.

You could file another round of defects complain and get them to do it again.

Was there with a friend looking at Banyan subsales. Nice place, although a bit far

Big house. Landscaping was not good though.
Not up to the standards we have come to expect from big developments.

Banyan already got 5 household moved in.

Get one of those water-based air cleaner. Not very effective, but helps to filter out the bigger particles. Change the water often.

anyone or if your neighbour wants to sell Bromelia let me know

If you drive around the area, there are some with for sale signs.

Or can try the new launch Senna. More expensive but better specs.

Average occupancy of Phase 1 (hibiscus, bromelia, duranta, banyan, oleander) and areca ~300 households (~40%)

Most sale/rent signs are removed, and a lot of renovation works going on.

KLK has committed to high-quality landscaping of the 3 lakes fronting the main road, and will maintain the landscaping for 20 years. Work has already commenced on the main lake. Hopefully they keep their promise.
