don't hire Ho & T! very bad and slow service, they never follow our instruction & use cheap stuff but the charge is expensive.

Soon after this post, we had not smelt any more foul smell!

We had wanted to make a straight line porch and back extension and the fee quoted was RM1,000! This is fee just to draw 2 short straight lines on the layout plan.

New home owners may want to think over again:

Calculate how long it will take to recover the total sum in renovation based on your saving capacity. If it takes years and you will live with financial worries eg. If  there is risk on household expenses, especially taking care of health, your old age, affect quality of living,  the humiliation of borrowing from friends to meet daily needs(I've been through) then ask again: for all the uncertainty, just to make a new house look nicer (different from repairing an old home), or to have bigger live-in space (I realised later that  I was actually ok with less space that can make me  even feel more cozy if I had done up the interior deco by spending less money), or feel proud when passer-bys admire... ' nice looking home... (Ya, but do I bother who stays there? My eyes are entertained.)  But we are proud that others will envy us! Yes but not worth the strain that cuts the smile away. It makes you feel old and dries the spirit. It is simply not what life is all about.

Having said these, I am for renovation if $ is not a long-term problem.
