Major issue. Metro UI isn't supposed to work on screen resolution lesser than 768px of height. However Metro loaded on my netbook that has only 600px of height. Consequences is, I cannot launch most of the apps on Metro tiles. I'm only able to click on Control Panel, Desktop and Windows Explorer. The rest just do nothing.

I think there should be some registry entry that I can modify for Metro to work for now. Just, no one took the trouble to look deeply into Windows 8 tongue.gif

It worked fine for me,may be you need a larger resolution?

Yup, things worked when I use external display with higher resolution.

It's already addressed before that Microsoft doesn't recommend screen height lower than 768px, but I believe Microsoft have attend to the problem smile.gif

I manage to get Metro UI to work by enabling downscaling by changing Display1_DownScalingSupported registry key.

Probably Developer Preview couldn't be updated to Beta without a reinstallation right?

I have installed 32 bit and 64 bit with developer tools. All has no problem. Do a file hash check, see if it matches Microsoft's MD5.

Could be some driver incompatibility at the moment. Just hold on for the next release. smile.gif
